A lawful permanent resident is someone who has been granted the right to live in the United States indefinitely. Permanent residents are given what's known as a “green card,” which is a photo ID card that proves their status. ... Permanent residentsremain the citizen of another country.

Not sure what you are trying to tell me .. I was simply giving the correct expansion of the acronym LPR.

I was just trying to help the other person because he/she didn’t know what the PLR or LPR meant... and you saying that my explanation was wrong isn’t right

Yes that is what I posted. You used “legal” for the “L”  ...  it’s actually “lawful”.  May not seem significant but it’s useful to be as precise and  correct as we can be.  Also the acronym /abbreviation PLR isn’t used in this context ..... it’s always LPR

Just getting on to see what people are thinking.

My wife immigrated from the Philippines and got her Conditional Green Card in August 2018. We were/are planning on applying for her new ten year Green Card next month (May). With Trump's new executive order barring new Green Card allocations, I'm wondering if there will be trouble in renewing her status on time. Details are few at this moment and questions are already being raised about whether or not there will be exemptions in cases like ours. Does anyone have any thoughts about this?

Hi

i m in same boat. i came in august 2018 and planning to apply for removing my conditiond in May next month so its kind of worrying situation.

I was scheduled to get my biometrics for ROC in March when the field offices shut down. Is everyone on edge about this? It’s very difficult not having all the details while the president vague tweets at you.

No. The EO only stop Embassy or Consulate oversea issued immigration visa for a limited time( 30-90 days) until the pandemic over. Even you apply for ROC, you still PLR .

And if what could happen to me if i am inmigrant visa holder since january but due the pandemic i am not able to travel since then?

I, probably like you, are a little uncertain about what is going on in this new reality that we are experiencing. I would go ahead and send your paperwork in when the window opens up.
