Thousands die every year from the flu and other virus'. This 'pandemic' has killed people like the others, mostly the elderly and those with underlying chronic illnesses....same as every year. The H1N1 flu virus of 09 and 10 killed younger people as well. That didn't shut down the country or the other nations, but this one did. Could there be an ulterior motive for this pandemic panic? This hysteria is being pushed very hard by the media. Motives?

Big difference is that we have vaccines and treatments for the flu. Whereas with COVID-19 we have nothing and Trump and Red State America want to open economies along with rising COVID-19 case counts. Perfect sense.

Will we have to wait until the executive order is signed for the details? I’m out of the US on AP awaiting my green card. I am not going back to the US for the foreseeable future because Canada has far less cases of covid-19, and it is safer here for my small children until this starts to dissipate. I have been waiting for my green card for almost a year and a half (Seattle is really backlogged). I wonder what would even happen if I tried to cross the border? I don’t have my green card yet and my AP expires in Aug.

This inarticulate tweeting causing mass hysteria has got to stop. Don’t announce anything until the details are also available!

I highly doubt that they would be able to pause currently processing status adjustments etc for people who are legally here.

I appreciate that. I really think so too. I am legally here and now in the system. Thank God I applied in January and did not wait!

I hope this COVD-19 clears up real soon.

I filled my K1 documents back in November 2019 and still waiting for NOA2 approval, which will not happen for now.  And now I cannot even travel.

Just going to keep faith.😉

We still know absolutely nothing.  Just some anonymous reporting that it may suspend new green card and H1-B's for so many days.  But that's about all the detail we have received.

This guy keeps putting pandemic in quotes. Best to ignore.

The current shutdown is saving countless lives and no matter what, doubters will claim it was for nothing. They can’t comprehend that people are being saved by staying home and distancing.

Doctor and nurse here incase someone wants to debate science.

Okay, Dr. Fouchi has changed his mind several times. Other doctors have too. Is there science different that yours?  Some doctors say this virus is not as bad as first predicted...is their science different that yours? What do you say about possible fudging the numbers to make the virus look worse that it is? Is that possible or do you believe that is not true?

Its sad but I think you guys that are on spousal visa should not freak out, because this is meant for job loss , aiming at the economic impact/ non immigration visa. A wife/husband shouldnt even be consider in this whole ordeal.

From the government stand point. All the Non-immigrants has been coming to the U.S and some stay illegally , along with non-immigrant student. I used to date A girl that lied to me she is a green card holder. And turned out she was a student trying to stay permanent in U.S . (First relationship)

there are holes in the system. And the government is trying to fill these holes. But family based, husband/wife is a real connection, unbreakable.

pray guys and don’t freak out.

I would interpret it exactly how it is written,” temperory suspension” but the way people have been commenting here is exaggeration without knowing all the details.

Being alive is temporary. Some people live for a day (unfortunately) and others live past a hundred years.

He did not define what he meant by temporary. Does temporary mean until Jan 2021, Jan 2022, Jan 2023, or you get the point?

Is there even the slightest possibility that immigrants and others coming to America could have the virus?

I do not  know if anyone noticed that all newspapers are mentioning employment visas/work visas but not mentioning families at all. Does this mean that the EO would be solely targeting those kind of visas?  I have read more than 20 articles and could not see any of them mentioning the world family/spouse/immediate relatives.
