Okay, so his supporters are already anti-immigration. He has already been tough on immigration and already has his highest support ever from his base. He doesn’t have to do anything to strengthen their support.

Just because you don’t like Trump and this EO, doesn’t make your irrational theory true.

Everything about him is irrational. Take a look at his tweets and his actual recorded interviews. I don't need to say anything beyond that.

And your above comments are also just theories. They are not facts either unless you go by his late night tweets. Lighten up and see everything critically and make your own judgment.

Back to the topic at hand- I'm still awaiting the details.

Employment based visas are not immigrant visas, his tweet is about immigration

Every EB visa is both an employment visa and immigrant visa. https://www.uscis.gov/working-united-states/permanent-workers

Also, "immigration" is more than just immigrants. Every time I visit a country, I go through immigration inspection. Immigration law covers any alien.

If that's the case I want our fees returned asap

That was my thought when I read this earlier. Will they refund the fees? Seems logical to 'non-governmental' people. I support this  move by the president. I empathize with those waiting even longer to get here, but President Trump is under alot of pressure from the Democrats and Media. He started taking action early with stopping flights from China and has kept the American people up to date with what's going on.

This will be a temporary move, especially if businesses open back up soon. I'm hoping for everything to get rolling again and President Trump does too, but for some reason certain sectors of the Government and media don't want the economy to do well...no sure why.

I don't think President Trumps supporters are anti-immigration, but I do believe they are anti-illegal immigration. I am a supporter of the President and alot of people I know are too; we are all pro-legal immigration.  Shouldn't we all be pro-LEGAL immigration? Legal immigration is what other countries are, why can't we be the same?

I'm almost sure that a huge number of unemployed people is due to

- Restaurants closed, no waiters, chefs etc. needed

- Travel shut down, so tons of tourist related jobs are laid off

- No air travel, so all jobs related to that field are widely affected by that as well (pilots, flight attendants, people working at airports...)

So basically a large number is really due to all the Corona restrictions.

Once this Pandemic is over and restrictions are removed, most of the people in these jobs should be back in the job market reducing the unemployment rate by a larger number.

The pandemic is here to stay until we get a vaccine (12-18 months). Social distancing will be the new norm for quite a long time.

It isn't just restaurants and travel related jobs. Plenty of other industries are getting hit real bad. Plenty of small businesses are close to bankruptcy. My husband works in one of those "safe" finance jobs and his company is talking about putting some of the people on furlough (white collar jobs, some of them on h1b visas).  Economy doesn't just bounce back that quick.

Allowing US citizen's and LPRs to bring over their kids and significant others would boost the US economy. Currently, I spend just enough to get by. I still have money left over at the end of the pay cycle that just sits there. I'm sure there are others like me who are saving up for the worst case (moving back in case Der Fuhrer) makes it impossible for us to bring over our family. Or people are sending money back home. Again, that is money that is not circulating locally in the US. I'm sure my expenses would go up, a lot more money would start to move out my account and into the pockets of other Americans if my wife were to come here today. I doubt she would land a job right away though. This means we would be creating jobs indirectly (increasing the flow of money in the economy) without actually taking away any jobs.

Those are my two cents on the flawed logic used by the our beloved leader.

That's my logic! I am happy for forgo my 'employment authorisation' in my AOS for my K1 too, just want to be with my partner.

I think the ban on countries was to stop them legally coming here not illegally,  correct me if i am wrong but this action will also suspend legal immigration,  no one here is talking about coming here illegally.

   Trump lost my vote today

You don't even know what is actually being done and you running with assumptions. I would bet you that this has to do with work visas and not family immigration
