Ughhhh, sorry to hear that. I dont see why the government is this slow.

It's this slow because the current Administration doesn't believe in government, and has systematically fired, lay-off, downsized or otherwise diminished nearly every single government Federal agency. The US Federal government has been hollowed out from the inside. This is why it things are so slow.

Hi guys. I was wondering if you could shed light on my own situation? My husband was due to have a CR-1 interview mid March at a neighboring country's US Embassy, but both countries closed their borders just a 3 days prior to my husband's interview and we already had a hotel booked and he was going to travel in two days in March to get to it. Then the Embassy rescheduled him 8 weeks forward, BUT that didn't help either as both countries (where my husband is a national and the neighboring country that does the interviews) borders were announced to be closed further yet again. So his rescheduled interview is supposed to be May 8th, but the countries will supposedly reopen borders only on May 10....initially the border closure was for 10 days (yeah right!). So basically 2 months of waiting now for the rescheduled interview to also be postponed and I did write to US embassy yesterday asking to reschedule it the 3rd time now, since borders won't be open (haven't gotten response from embassy yet), but today i saw Trump's announcement and this further devastated our situation...I wanted to know how this immigration suspension now would affect our continuous postponed interview even if the borders open soon between those two countries and what happens to our CR-1 situation? Is this going to be annulled now for us at the last minute like this? What does temporarily even mean....we are so frustrated now as he keep not being able to get to his interview. Can't believe that this happened just before he was going to enter the neighboring country after all this time of waiting back in mid-March.

Has anyone been approved for their CR-1/IR-1 and hasn't set foot on US soil yet? I'm thinking of just taking the next flight out of the UK. My husband and I have been waiting so long in the first place due to other delays. I'm thinking of getting the next flight at the weekend.

yes...but we're in australia, which requires special permission to LEAVE! so until we get permission to leave australia, we cna't even get on a plane!

Try expediting the case you may have a valid reason

This President sometimes Tweets things he cannot deliver.  And, trying to make sense or meaning of what he says is maddening.  I'm curious how this will be implemented in the wide world outside of his control.

Showed this to my non US citizen spouse here in Spain.  We've been contemplating whether to settle here or leave our lives unsettled for another year or two while working through the spouse visa.  My inclination is to wait until things settle down politically in the US.  We are safe here in Spain, it is a beautiful country.

Still trying to figure this out, as I believe you can still leave for good reason. I'm hoping that getting to my husband is one (I have other reasons personal to us for wanting to travel). IT's just getting flights that's the problem.

I'm so sorry to hear your situation, but based on what has been said about this EO, it appears your petition will be put on hold -- meaning, you will not be issued any type of visa whatsoever during the duration of the EO. Let's hope this is not the case, but based on early reports, it appears to be the case. My fiancee is literally getting on a plane in two hours to come to the US on K1 visa and I just saw this.

We're going for it to try and get her in before the door closes, but thoughts? Honestly this is the most stressful thing I could have imagined at this moment.
