what about those, ready to travel with already a  CR1 VISA issued?

I Know, my fiance literally has the visa in hand, but couldn't take the plane to come here, what is going to happen to them??  Would they be able to still come. Those Visas are usually valid for 6 months from the date they were issued.

No no your visa is still valid until expire date .. 😁

i'm not sure if the visa is valid until you enter the states? unless you've already entered on that visa then left again? don't quote me, but we're in that boat too and something tells me even though he has the visa in his passport, it'll be under a ban if it's not yet stamped

That's what I'm thinking as well.. Later today we should have some clarification.  I'm OK with a temporary halt on work visas, but a halt on pending immigration visas makes no sense, I don't see the justification in it..

I'm a big Trump supporter, but it appears he's doing exactly what many Governors are doing, using Covid19 as an excuse to restrict our rights and freedoms.

"Halt on work visas"...what do you think H-2A visas are (and they are not banning these)? They are especially for farm labor  --- that might I remind you, are especially essential for Americans to eat! Last I checked, I never saw a single American out in the farm digging dirt to feed the rest of us!

I would look for the first flight today. You need to go through the port of entry to become LPR. A few folks here are in a similar situation... Best luck!

Thank you, I have a route to go, I plan to go from LHR-EWR-DEN. I've asked my husband to book me the first flight, I'm hoping for the weekend as I have a job which I'm transferring to the US as well so wanted to give my boss a couple of days notice.

I'm currently in the US on a K1 visa and waiting for my birth certificate to arrive (my mom in my home country sent it to me) so we can get married and I'm terrified of something happening now. My visa expires on June 6th...

I called the embassy and they say IR1 is equivalent to a Green Card . Not sure what's true.

It's equivalent to GC unless all immigration is suspended. You need to go through a port of entry to be admitted as LPR (GC). We'll soon see the EO. Hopefully it will make exceptions for those with valid immigrant visas.

I hope it's not for cr1 visa I waited nearly 18 months to be with my hubby. I got my visa on 10th of March but my flight canceled due to lock down. Desperately waiting for all this to finish so that I can meet my husband and stress also as the visa for entrance is valid only 6 months.

I thought that, but I was worrying about the immigration ban like all the others. Hope it comes out soon to clarify, I'm in the midst of trying to wake my husband up (he's in Denver) to book me a flight for weekend. Fingers crossed!

I've been waiting over 18 months, got my approval on the 13th March. I feel your pain. I'm trying to get my husband to move my flight to this weekend out of Heathrow to Newark to Denver.

This passport situation is unbelievable. It's practically banning you from leaving the country. When did you apply? Before they stopped issuing them?
