Are they considered permanent residents yet or not yet as they have not cleared port of entry officer yet, they do not have physical green cards yet.

Nope, they need a stamp.

I hope it doesn't pass, and I hope he is just lying , like he did back in 2015 in his campaign to get votes from all the anti-immigration citizens. My wife has been in AP for a mistake the consular made at the interview which she admitted at the interview in sept 2019 but simply apologized that she couldnt open her file again today but in 2 weeks she would recieve her visa but she didnt and is still in AP for no reason and now this !? 😕

Yes

But is the travel ban currently already lifted? It was in effect 3/12/2020 for 30 days and it’s past the 30 days now. Or is the travel ban currently extended?

Ok thank you. All this sucks so much 😞

Is the Europe travel ban already lifted? It was supposed to be 3/12/2029 for 39 days till 4/12/2020. My parents have IR-5 visa in passport but are not in US yet. Are they considered permanent residents yet or not yet as they have not cleared port of entry officer yet, they do not have physical green cards yet. If travel ban is lifted, could they still fly in from Germany now?

This new EO will superseded all those other immigration cases. This EO is absolute! Meaning, the US government will NOT be issuing non-immigrant nor immigrant visa under any circumstances. Therefore all green card processing or issuance comes to an immediate and abrupt halt (after Trump signs the EO later today).

Though currently it’s near imposible for anyone without a passport to get one. I’m stuck in that particular mess as well - they have my citizenship certificate and no idea as to when I will actually get the passport. Some who paid for expedited service (while that was still an option) have been waiting 8 weeks.

same... planning to gtfo outta her for a while.

This travel ban excludes us citizens and their family members. Does anyone know if parents are considered family members?

"(a)  Section 1 of this proclamation shall not apply to:

(iii)   any alien who is the parent or legal guardian of a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident, provided that the U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident is unmarried and under the age of 21;"

Guess not.

I wouldn't panic over this, whether you are out of the country waiting for K1 approval, or in the country waiting for a green card etc, the immigrant process has been delayed historically for years with progression and regression due to many factors, it just means a delay, and the one thing I can say after going from K1 in 2013 to Naturalization in 2017 is don't stress about things you can't control (government bureaucracy, death and the weather) and just let things happen when they will happen.  99% of you will all be approved *eventually* for whatever you are applying for in the end, worrying and stressing won't change your outcome one bit.  Yes it's emotionally draining, but just be patient which is better said than done.

This helps thanks. It’s a longer wait for us and we want to be with each other my fiancé and I. Hearing this news is devastating. I hope they at least let fiancées and spouses be together even without competing about jobs.. times already hard and being apart is worst. At least we can endure hardship together.
