I'm sorry for all spousal visa applications affected by this upcoming order. In my own case, mine's for a family-based visa, and while I would love for it to go through (just waiting on an interview schedule when COVID-19 hit), I can manage with it being suspended, and actually makes me think about other options moving forward if the US government has that much dislike for immigrants, even legal ones.

 

Hopefully it ends up being a non-starter, or at least something more fair to people who already are in the middle of the process, but ever since this pandemic hit, I have learned to keep my optimism down to the barest minimum. 😂

You are talking about me and I meant at current there was no specified end date to the ban. Because there isn't? Once they announce when it will be lifted people will be able to plan for their lives again.

that infers all IMHO ... he doesnt say "some" he isnt specific, he makes a general blanket statement, intentionally of course.

i wish we didnt have to sit here at 12am and try to decipher because the president decided to tweet at 10pm on such a serious matter like immigration. I hope we wake up and he says he was hacked 😂

"Tweeting" something this important is insane. Stuff like this needs to have total and accurate information disseminated.

Hi guys,Is that means that all the services will be close down temporary?
I suppose to have my citizenship interview 24th of April but due to Covid19,It’s already been cancelled.So for until further notice this ban would affect my citizenship process as well?any kind of  information would help🙏🏼

Tweets are official record of the President.  Nobody is speculating.  The fact is he said he would temporarily suspend immigration.  That's all we know so far, besides some digging reporters are speculating on.

I'm not creating it. I am just emphasizing with people who's lives have been turned upside down. My own included as we were at the interview stage. I know it will work out and we will be fine but I still feel for everyone.

No it doesnt. There is no right to have your "kin" immigrate. There are immigration laws that grant the abiltiy to petition, however the government has a final say on who may enter. This right is not enshrined in the constitution.
