My husband got the Cr1 visa stamp on his apassport. We just need to fly out and into the USA. Does this affect us as well?? Can this get any harder on us?

I would try to get a flight ASAP.

thats a good question. I assume if you already have a green card you are a permanent resident so you shouldnt denied. I know some friends who are currently visiting family overseas with greencards and before this, checked and said they can come back because citizens and perm residents are allowed entry.

I do agree as it's been issued. not sure how we will be getting clarification as nothing is open, but thank you.

Yes :( I keep questioning myself why move to the US when we were so well off here. My husband is there and I have not seen him in nearly 5 months. After we got married, we were only together for 4 days. I thought while living there about the things I missed in the US, and now that I am here, I miss NZ so much more. I feel like leaving was a mistake.

We debated where we would live when we got engaged.....there were quite a few reasons to live here, but we always hold open the option to re-evaluate that.  I do feel lucky to be from Seattle, where some of the worst things about our country at the moment are not as prominent.

Very good circumstances for anti-immigration policies.
Let's see what he will sign now. Hopefully it will be not that severe, or dismissed quickly.
Not sure what he wants now since everything is stopped.
I think his main goal is to slow down citizenship process at least until election is over, since im assuming majority of immigrants that become citizens are anti-trump voters.
Also might be signing some stupid irrelevant , just for getting voters attention, how he is actually doing big thing on immigration, so he can pick up credit for it, and corona already made sure immigration is not the option anyway.
Not sure what is benefit of tweeting about it, without any information.. Just to make us feel anxious in this already intense atmosphere.

I may be wrong, but I believe with a CR-1/IR-1 visa the permanent residency isn't valid until one gets the I-551 stamp first at the border. The CR-1 visa just serves as a proper valid travel document to enter the US. I think this is what the "UPON ENDORSEMENT" part means. So, technically a CR-1/IR-1 visa holder doesn't have residency until they get the I-551.

After a bunch of delays that were out of our control, I thought a global pandemic would be the last one. Guess I should have seen this coming. If this goes through, the immigration process will have finally broken me.
