It wouldn't be the first time a woman led a country that was patriarchal though. It's not like 16th century England was burning its bras and giving much power to women and they had not only Mary I but also Elizabeth I, who was extremely good at projecting an image of resolute strength.

Kind of a little difference between medieval England and the DPRK.  Culture in Korea, especially North of the DMZ is quite different.
