Getting ready to file N400 form next month and I started going over some questions.

1. Question 19 in part 12 asks if I ever received weapons training. A few years ago I went to a indoor gun range for the first time and was shown how to use one. Does that count towards a yes for that question?

2. Question 23 asks about being cited. 2 years ago I got a parking ticket because the parking meter timed out. It was under 30 dollar's. I was going to put no for that question, is this correct?

other than the parking ticket I have no other traffic tickets or moving violations.

I appreciate the help!

What you probably took at the gun range was no where near weapons training, It was probably a handgun safety course they usually offer for free to at least give you a basic overview of your weapon, and it's function. That would be a no for that question. Even taking a CCW course that requires about 8 hours of actual range time ( 4 hours class/ 4 hours range time) would not qualify. They are looking for serious firearms training ( Think Front Sight in Pahrump , Nevada) you would have remembered paying a large sum of money for any real weapons training.

And for the parking citation, that is a non issue. I believe in the instructions it even says any traffic violations, or misdemeanor moving violations ( Like parking ticket), that are under 500 dollars do not need to be reported. You are correct by answering no to that question.

Thank you for your response! I was thinking the same just wasn't sure. And it was just a very basic safety instructions and function.
