I filed MFJ and mailed them in. We are still in the USCIS stage of paper work, I also included forms W-7 to get ITIN numbers for both wife and step daughter.

H&R did the 1040 for us.

spouse does not live here at nvc level I will do amends but I will go ahead and summit single and do amendments later since it takes time to process amends

You will need to mail in the return. You can’t file electronically unless your spouse has a SSN

I filed as single to file electronically.  We did not have any problems with NVC. Once he came and received his SSN, I amended the tax returns.

Also please did you use the whole recent 3 years transcript or the most recent my case I am self employed spouse visa at nvc level thanks God bless
