If YOU find it disgusting, why don't YOU go somewhere else?

No one is forcing you to read the posts, let alone participate.

:yes::yes:

The subject line should have been enough "warning" for others who don't want to see the "crude" side of life to stay away.

My comments stand. This is not an appropriate topic for this site. This is not the "I love talking about my sex life online" site - it is an immigration site.

I will never ever understand why people think it is entertaining to be vulgar and discuss topics they would probably (one would hope) never discuss in polite company face to face.

And I should not have to go elsewhere. I am a member of this community too - and I find this type of discussion offensive. Why the mod staff do not agree with me and allow foul language and discussion is very very sad indeed. I think it degrades the quality of this site.

This topic was not meant to be salacious. The topic was meant to poke fun at Sharon Stone for this habit she's developed recently of always talking about sex and getting in the news.

If you were someone who browsed Off Topic regularly, you'd know that.

But you're not so please... stfu.

This forum is an off-topic site.....yes the site itself is an immigration website, but this is off-topic...meaning those that would like to discuss topics other than immigration since we can only rattle our brains with immigration problems for so long without our heads exploding. So, this area is pretty much open to any other topic people feel the need to discuss, which unfortuately for you, does include sex. We also talk about news, the weather, personal problems and the like. If the topic seems inappropriate to you, then you should not feel the need to concern yourself with it. Let the others discuss it in the matter they wish to discuss it. find another topic and associate yourself with that one instead.

now, back to bj's.....

I aint cool enough for a signature.....

Why is it that this site has so many disgusting gutter conversations with vile language?

You know - this is a really nice place to be, and there are a lot of very helpful and friendly people here who are pleasant and interesting.

If someone feels the urge to discuss such disgusting topics in such graphic detail - go find a porn site.

And for the life of me, I can not understand why the mods here just don't seem to care what is or could be offensive material.

This is disgusting. Go someplace else, will ya? Come back when you have something relevant to the purpose of this site to discuss. Off topic does not mean off color.

What part of this don't you understand?

Did anyone put a gun to your head to open this up?

Yeah, exactly. Back to the (extremely important) matter at hand...

Does anyone else think Ms. Stone's logic is similar to the argument that if a woman knows she's going to be raped, she should at least try to get the guy to wear protection?

Ah - of course! Yes, I see it now . . . people who are regular posters are welcome, and those who are not are told (politely, see the use of the word "please"?) to "stfu"?

One question - how does one become a regular browser or poster (given the fact if you are not you are told to stfu)? And, in fact, how does anyone know if Liza is a regular browser? I mean - let's be fair now. She might browse and not post. And, unless people are checking every topic to see if she is in there, one can hardly say she's not a browser, now can they?

It is interesting to note how people react here, it really is. I find it . . . interesting . . . that the person demonstrating the attitude which says "get out of my forum" rather than engaging in rational dialogue (and resorting to abreviations of swearwords - hint, arrange these words into a well-know phrase or saying, Not, Or, It's, Clever, Big) doesn't appear to have filed for anything . . . despite being having joined about 6 months ago.

Strange, that . . . of course, it could just be that the person doesn't want to make it clear where they are in the Visa process . . . or it could be that they generally dislike the idea of integration, co-operation and the friendly coming together that an immigration website implies.

Oh, and before you say it, I've been told to do worse than stfu by better than you, so you're wasting your time. For the record, I think that the discussion about Ms. Stone (IQ of 155, I believe) was valid, but that the general lack of courtesy was simply abhorent . . . although perhaps what I have come to expect.

Yup. The argument is "accept it and make the best of it".

IMO, it does sound that way.

I remember a controversy on a Holly Dunn song "Maybe I Mean Yes" in 1991 where Dunn had to pull that song from active radio play due to complaints that it "glorified date rape".

Admittedly, the market for pushing-Five-o (Stone turned 48 recently) actresses is not great--so it sounds like Stone may be using "all publicity, including outrage, is good".

I know yer just being flippant, but seriously...what ever happened to the idea of a woman being able to defend herself? My husband is a black belt in a few various martial arts, one of which is Chin Na and I highly recommend that or some course in basic self defense, for men and women. Better than thinking we have no chance at all
