Hey group!

I've done some research and seen on IRS website we are able to get the last year's tax return, however, how are we able to get the last 3? This is what NVC requests.  Thank you

You need a valid US phone number registered to you or you can request a letter sent to you with a security code. Download their app and you can log in with your security code and you can view the past 3 years.

Thanks all.  Have any of you had any trouble with the IRS website not recognizing a credit card? I'm putting the last 8 numbers in correctly and they aren't taking it. Thanks.

Hi everyone. I got a new VISA credit card (as IRS was not accepting my American Express credit card).  I activated the card and put the last 8 digits on the website so I can get my last 3 years transcripts. An error keeps coming up and it's not accepting my input. Did anyone else have trouble with this?  They also don't have a contact number so now I am just stuck and can't press forward.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

I don't have a US phone number, so just tried to click the option to have the letter sent to my US address with a security code. It looks like the IRS are not currently doing this due to the coronavirus pandemic as I received the following error message:

"Due to coronavirus (COVID-19) and to ensure the safety of our employees, we can't send activation codes by mail at this time. You won't be able to create an account because of this, and we apologize for the inconvenience."

Hey VJ!

The NVC has finally received my approved submission from USCIS for the CR-1! However, now I have to provide the NVC with my last 3 tax transcripts. When I go to the IRS website to get the transcripts https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript,  I put all of the information in required, to include the last 8 digits of my VISA Credit Card. When I do this, I get this error attached.

Well, IRS does not have a phone number to call, contact etc to fix this issue.  I have no idea why the error is showing up and now I'm just stuck not able to do anything. Does anybody have any suggestions for me? I'd really appreciate it. Thank you

website has never worked for me, I've always requested them on their automated line.

unfortunately their phone is down at this time. This is truly a bummer. I wonder how long it's going to be down for.  NVC is going to think that I don't care to turn my transcripts in, when in actuality IRS is holding everything up

~~moved to taxes and finances from IR1/CR1. Question is about getting tax return transcripts not necessarily thr IR1/CR1 process nor is visa specific~~
