unfortunately   for OP and so many others in her situation.. this is a “toddler tantrum” by an adult in a big powerful physical body with high risks to the victim.. it’s not that easy to get what is rightly yours. Get support .. don’t underestimate the high danger when leaving or asserting your rights.

1 - document everything that is wrong. Finaincial abuse, the text/calls of you asking for your money and his responses, including why you aren't getting it (can't he show proof of fixing the car? Hmm?) and once all of that is saved and made several copies, block his numbers and change your number.

2 - Contact the divorce lawyer ASAP as you find a good one. Feel free to speak to a police about the issue and give him a copy of reports from #1 (or you can ask the cop first and collect more info than what we know here to make it better.)

3 (or #1?) - Do transfer the money into your account asap before it's too late.

4 - To make it harder, let the bank know that the money was yours before he contact the bank claiming fraud? I'm not sure about this.

 

Many question are possible, the dumb ones are the one not asked.

AOS RFIE: Sept. 28 - got in mail by Oct 3. [They lost my Husband's Birth Certificate] - Sent back AOS RFIE: Oct 16 2019, at office by Oct 17.
AOS Case update notice on April 9th, 2020, waiting for mail. - Interview date: Scheduled as of July 15, date is August 19. Passed the interview!

My Husband got his GC! 2 Year Conditional Green Card expires 08/19/2022, Residence since 08/19/2020

ROC Process [2022-2024]

Got letter in mail for extension: April 12th, Received date June 21, 2022, Notice date: April 5, 2023 = 48 Months Extension. No physical card yet.
Approved without interview as of Feb 15th, 2024. Was not a combo interview with N-400.

Naturalization N-400 [2023-2024]

Service Center: NBC, application # starts with IOE#.
Biometrics waived. Got NOA mail Jan 5, 2024 says Interview in Nashville, TN on Feb 6, 2024.
Queue for review and approval. Already in line for Oath Ceremony as of Feb 13th, 2024.
NOA as of 4/29/24 - Oath Ceremony scheduled for May 30th in Chattanooga, TN. Rescheduled as of May 2nd, 2024 by USCIS - new date is May 29th.
May 29th - Naturalized! Ta-da!

2.transfer your own funds for it

3.Hold on to proof that money you transferred belongs to you

4. Call and talk to a divorce lawyer

Reading between the lines, it seems that she's not afraid of a tantrum, but more like making him angry may lead to physical violence.

 

Does he know where you live?  Maybe safer if you move somewhere else and don't let him know where.

11/10/2019    APPROVED (notification rec'd 11/10, approval dated 11/8)

DONE FOR TWO YEARS!!! ;)

 

Filed everything ourselves with no RFE's or delays.

 

CR1 for Child under 21 (20 at time of filing)- Filed by LPR Spouse for his son

4/4/20     Mailed packet

4/12/20   NOA1 rec'd

10/14/21 (havent heard anything... when do i start to get worried?)

9/15/22 APPROVED! Now to wait for NVC and interview....

10/14/21 Mailed to AZ PO Box. Let the waiting begin. Again.

10/19/21 Received Text NOA1
