G-325A - Where I've lived in the past 5 years

I'm sure other people have had similar questions/problems, but I was wondering if I could get some feedback from y'all. :)

I graduated from college in May of '06, went home and searched for a job, got a job and moved away from home!

On the G-325A form, it asks for the Applican'ts Residence in the past 5 years... Calculating back, that brings me to September of '02 (We're filing in September because I'm visiting then and we can be sure we have enough evidence, etc.). From September of '02 and September of '07 I will have moved 11 times (sometimes back and forth between two different residences). For most of that time I was a full-time college student, moving around because I worked in Washington, D.C. every other semester as part of my school program. During all this time my permanent residence was in my home town (since I was still a dependent) and I paid taxes and voted there.

To finally get to my question... Should I list all these places on the form? I don't want to lie (by omission) on the form... but is it a bad thing if I have moved around so much? Will they understand if I explain it? I want to do this where it creates the least amount of flags... but I was paid for the work I did in D.C. so I have to put that in the job section... Should I just add... some sort of addendum to each G-325A form that tries to explain all of this?

Just... if I do put all my addresses, it will look something like this:

1123 N. Oak Street, City, State 09/02 - 12/02

111 S. Spruce Street, City, State 01/03 - 04/03

333 E. Poplar Ave, City, State 05/03-12/03

2222 W. Tree Dr, City, State 01/04-05/04

333 E. Poplar Ave, City, State 06/04 - 08/04

etc. etc. until I get to 11 different places... Help! :)

Yep, just list them all, maybe if you moved addresses in the same city just put down the one you spent the most time in. But DO list all of the places you lived in, doesn't matter that it was too many.

KateandNik,

If the city and state in your list are all the same city and state, then forget the individual street addresses and provide only the city and state.

I like this post from another discussion group, by a person who knows a lot more than anyone here. It is appropriate for your situation.

How detailed do you have to be on your G-325A information? I was a student for the better part of the last 5 years and lived in 6-7 apartments. I lived in one of the addresses for only about 7 months and there's no paperwork connecting me to that apartment other than the lease (i.e. no mail, credit cards etc.). Is it OK to leave that address out or will it pop up in the background check and cause problems? I know this might seem trivial but better to check than be sorry! Thanks.

Hi:

In my opinion, the G-325A is an obsolescent form which CIS can't even be bothered to read. My opinion is that the information needs to be correct, but it is no harm, no foul is not detailed or somewhat incomplete.

For example -- lets say you were a student in Cambridge, MA and had many addresses -- things such as "various addresses, Cambridge MA" or even "various addresses, Boston area, MA" will suffice.

I find that many people don't have the details for the G-325 and its never been a problem.

Thanks for the feedback guys! I'm still not sure though... I mean, I have all the addresses and exact dates that I lived in each apartment... I guess like other people have stated here... I'll just put too much information and maybe there won't be problems!

This website is awesome!!! Especially for the information regarding RFEs... the providing evidence of meeting was the most stressful part of this... but now I feel a lot better!!! Thanks again everyone!!!!
