Hi fellow netizens!

My fiancee is scheduled to be in the States the first week of May. Her fiancee visa expires in beginning of June.

I just found out today that most county clerk (in Texas) are closed due to COVID 19, which mean we can't get marriage license.

We will have 90 days after her entry, to get married.

I'm in need of suggestions / advises / input. I'd appreciate it!

Please also let me know if any of you have experienced this.

Thanks!

You should call to the county near you and they will email you the application to fill it online and show you what to do.

Thanks @Ngoco. In Texas at least, they require the couple to show up in person, to be sworn in, before giving you the license. So, they may allow scheduling / filling up application online, but we have to go in person to get the license.

In Colorado, our governor just signed an executive order waiving all the in person requirements and directing all counties to accept everything online and mail the license. Other states already have similar processes in place. I'm sure more states will be on board. A lot of these changes have just been in the last week or so  watch for it in your county.
