Please tell me how do I check the payment status? To find out if they sent the stimulus or not.

Click "Get My Payment", then follow the instructions.  You will need your SSN, address, DOB, & tax return information (AGI, amount of last refund/Owed amount)......it should then send you to a screen about payment status.

EDIT:  It might take a few minutes to connect.  That site is being hit pretty hard right now.

You are lucky, congrats! We are in the same situation (USC with SSN, foreign spouse with ITIN, filed 2019 a month ago as MFJ) but we did NOT receive any stimulus as of today:( Bank info reported to IRS is the same, never changed.

When I log in with the information, I get the following screen:

My wife got her SS card on 4/10 and I filed my tax return that same day online so both our socials are there. As per TurboTax it was accepted/received by the IRS but it has not been approved yet.

Since payments have already started going out will they go based on our 2018 tax return where we’d only get $1,200 this year?

I don’t get a refund so they don’t have our bank info.

Nope.  It is not considered as a part of public charge consideration.

Nah, haven't seen anything otherwise I just assumed it would be and don't want to shoot myself in the foot for later. It feels risky to take anything like that

I don’t believe so. The public charge rule is if you apply for a benefit but in this case we’re not applying for anything just submitting our tax returns as normal and they automatically send it.

Thanks!

I put my info in and got this : “Based on the information we have on file, we cannot determine your eligibility at this time”.

Considering that I have a SSN, filed my 2019 taxes with direct deposit, received my return already and have not changed my bank info, what does that suppose to mean?🧐

We filed exactly the same as you and received the same IRS message. Sadly no stimulus payment winging its way to the bank account. I did expect $1,200, thinking that i'd get half as a USC and filing with a SSN.  MFJ with one person having an ITIN equals instant ineligibility I guess, unless military.... Oh well...

I would try again.....and I would make sure the address and all entered info is EXACTLY as it is shown on your tax returns.

I got my 1200$ stimulus check today.

I also got my tax refund for 2019 which I filed in mid March today.

Additionally, I filed a 2018 tax return.

In 2018 I filed single, and in 2019 I filed joint tax return with my wife who is in the AOS process but doesn't have a green card. She does have a SSN and on the tax return I said she was a resident alien. I'm going to wait for the new tool to check stimulus status to be released but do you believe she may qualify for the 1200$?

I'm not sure if anyone is following this thread anymore but my wife just got her stimulus check (June).
