Properly taxing the ultrarich and corporations. Not bailing out the cruise industry, considering how they operate. Shrinking the military budget, if a martial law is apparently a thing you can just call because poor people lost their jobs.

Are we also closing churches at that point or can they still stay open? There's a lot of people gathering there, so are we sure it's still safe?

just out of curiosity, at what rate would you suggest taxing the "ultrarich" and corporations.

what is your definition of "ultrarich""
how much do you propose shrinking the military budget?

It increased over the last few years, bring it back to what it was in 2017, there was no reason to blow it up the way it was blown up over the last couple of years.

Taking Warren's tax plan but taking it to a more drastic level, instead of 50 million you start at 10, the percentages will go up as well.
You're kind of going to have to do something because once automation kicks in, there won't be that many jobs left to choose from and unless you're going to actually limit the amount of kids people can have, that's going to be a serious problem in a few years.

Yes, because that worked out so well for China?

Automation has been reducing workers for decades, and we have rolled with the punches.  That's what humans do.

That and properly taxing corporations, closing tax loopholes, start taxing churches when they're clearly for-profit institutions. There are plenty of things that can be done.

warren's plan is a wealth tax, not an income tax.  basically tax them until they aren't rich anymore.
as for the military budget, almost 2 decades of warfighting means we need to spend more just to replace worn out equipment.

again, what is properly taxing corporations?

which tax loopholes need to be closed?

what churches are for profit?  do you think that placing a tax on churches would effectively shut down churches, or that they could continue to provide for their flock as they did before these taxes?

So the US should tax corporations way more than other countries do thereby driving corporations out of the US.  Sounds like a sustainable plan.  I guess it all comes down to wealth and money does not belong to the individual, but rather to the state.

As long as a certain few individuals can get a free ride, all those who make more money are in danger of it being taken from them.

Cool.

Their wealth adds to their income and since you're only taxing them a percentage based on the money they have, there's no way to actually "tax them until they aren't rich anymore.

Bezos makes $78.5 billion a year. He's worth $124.7 billion. There's no way to tax him until he's not rich anymore because he'll never not be a billionaire.

might now be a good time to remind you of your statement:
"Taking Warren's tax plan but taking it to a more drastic level, instead of 50 million you start at 10, the percentages will go up as well."

also note that her plan is just on their wealth.  it is in conjunction with an income tax......

They are not actually paying taxes at those high rates when they can defer taxes on profits held offshore indefinitely. One simple loophole that would eliminate most issues is to end tax deferral.

If that is eliminated, the corporations will just move out faster.  If profits are earned overseas they should be subject to taxation overseas and not taxed again by the US simply because a corporation is based here.
