California Service Center (CSC) adjudicates I-129f cases. They are working and processing necessary paperwork and issuing NOA1's and NOA2's but at a different pace then pre-pandemic. Expect 3-7-month processing.

This might be a stupid question (I am new to the I-129/K1 visa world)....is the California Service Center that only service center that is processing I-129f petitions currently? So it doesn't matter where the petitioner lives, all cases to to the Texas lockbox address and are then digitized and sent to the CSC?

That's absolutely correct. Could you help us out here and update your profile and timeline?

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

4-5 months is about average time from what I’ve seen the last several months . So why do you say it’s taking longer ?

I submitted an I-129F early this year, 3 months.

That fell through.  Submitted another i-129F and we are at 4+ months.  So yeah taking longer.

If you look at the 'processing times' they have already adjudicated PAST my NOA1 date at CSCCSC is processing NOA1s dated 12/24/2019.

"December 10, 2019, we received your Form I-129F"

So at by that number we are at least two weeks long, and over 6 weeks compared to Spring of 2019.

@SmallTownPA Those who filed in January are already getting approved. So that means things are going faster than normal (80-100 days)

Only some. A ton of December filers haven't received anything..including myself. I think roughly 35% or so have gotten NOA2.

I guess we will find out. That also could be just random. Don’t know why several would already be approved from January. Maybe they accidentally skipped December lol

My guess is that December filers are assigned to people who are currently not working because of COVID-19 and less staffing.

The January filers were picked up by people who are still working.

Well, now that the Supreme Leader has decided to temporarily suspend immigration, it's anybody's guess as to when these applications will get processed....

I was literally completed the I-129F tonight when I hear about the latest insane news.

There was barely any info on this. Do we know what exactly this means ?

There is a thread in the COVID forum that is focused on this announcement. Head there for good discussion.

Me too, NOA1 of 12/5, still nothing. I'll just wait and see.
