Dear VJ Members, Our case has been approved by the USICS & sent it to NVC in December, and now we are in the process of submitting our DS-260 in the coming weeks.

Currently, I am working for the Government of Pakistan.

Does that have any effect in the case ? Do i require additional documents or anything else?

Thanks

Emb

Probably not additional documents.  Once you have a successful interview, you will undergo extensive additional security checks.  That is where your government work may cause delays, but maybe also help avoid delays.  It's impossible to know.  Be prepared for several months to a year or more delay after the interview.

Thanks man, Well, It is not that typical bureaucratic or sensitive nature assignment except it is a non-profit. But I agree , you never know.

Thanks

Male Pakistani visa applicants generally undergo extensive AP background checks, which can take months to years.
