Hi VJ members, My Fiancé filed our K- 1 application since October 2019 at the USCIS Arizona Local Office and it’s been 5 months now. We are yet to receive the NOA1. On the USCIS website the local offices address are no longer receiving applications. Is the delay due to the fact that filed our application at the local office in Arizona?

Very well could be. Per the instructions it should have gone to the tTX lock box for processing and forwarding to the proper location to be worked on.

Thank you @G Walters , how long would it take to forward the application to the proper location before we can get the NOA1?

That is an unknown. If you paid by check I would put a stop payment on it and resubmit to the proper lock box. It is unknown when or if it would got the proper lock box. Maybe others have better info.

if you paid your fees by check, look to see if the amount ($535) is removed from your bank account from around 4 1/2 months ago. I suspect that application is sitting on someone's desk. All I-129F's go through the lock box facility first before they are accepted (or rejected) and moved on. We got out NOA1 around a week after submitting our paperwork to lock box facility. Good luck!

I'd recommend that you review your bank statement to determine if the fee has been deducted. If not, then put a stop payment on it. If you have a copy of everything you sent to AZ, then make another copy and resubmit to the TX address with a new payment: https://www.uscis.gov/forms/direct-filing-addresses-form-i-129f-petition-alien-fiancee

My fiancé called the USCIS in February 2020 and they acknowledged receipt of the application and requested for other documents to forwarded, which he did. But still we haven’t yet gotten our NOA1.

Thank you @Lucky Catmy fiancé called the USCIS office in February 2020 and they acknowledged receipt of our application although requested for additional documents which we sent immediately to USCIS office in Texas. Although the USCIS representative told my fiancé that they have other pending cases they are attending to and would send us update when they begin to work on our case. We are still waiting to get the NOA1 and receipt num.

@Lucky CatWhen we my fiancé submitted the application, he submitted just the form and money order without attaching other documents. Like evidence of our relationship, letter of intention, and passport photograph. So when he called USCIS office those were the documents they requested for, which he had to send in immediately

Makes absolutely no sense, RFE requests for additional documents are NEVER done over the phone and are NEVER sent to Texas
