DS-160 Questions

Good evening, my fiance and I have received our NOA2, but he has not yet been contacted by the consulate as the NOA2 approval letter stated that it could take several weeks. My questions are:

1. Does he need to go ahead and complete the DS-160 visa application, or should he wait until the Consulate has contacted him?

2. I heard a YouTuber say that her beneficiary was not able to make the online payment from his country that the payment  has to come from the U.S. is this true?

3. I also know that the world has been pretty much put on hold for awhile so my next question: If he can complete the DS-160 application is there a time frame in which it has to be processed in a way that would cause the DS-160 application process to have to start over again if that time frame is not met?

Any help would be appreciated 🙂

1. Does he need to go ahead and complete the DS-160 visa application, or should he wait until the Consulate has contacted him? That depends on the embassy. Some will not allow you to complete the DS-160 till you submit "information" to them usually certain documents and then once received they will open the portal for you to complete the form.

2. I heard a YouTuber say that her beneficiary was not able to make the online payment from his country that the payment has to come from the U.S. is this true? Totally untrue. In fact, most embassies in thier instructional letter will give local payment centers that are NOT accessible from the US.

3. I also know that the world has been pretty much put on hold for a while so my next question: If he can complete the DS-160 application is there a time frame in which it has to be processed in a way that would cause the DS-160 application process to have to start over again if that time frame is not met? There is no expiration date on the DS-160.

Any help would be appreciated 🙂
