Made me think, so they come up with some sort of anti Covid jab, will that be compulsory or does the My Body rule still hold?

Opinions aside, most states do not consider abortions elective procedures. It looks like a handful of states are trying to restrict access at this time and most are facing legal hurdles for doing so.

Essential not elective is the question.

Why would anyone want to go near a hospital or a Dr’s office if they did not have to at this time?

When the vast majority of abortions are elective, it's clearly elective to lump them all into "essential".

Heck, our stellar governor has not deemed the lottery non-essential.  Who knows what these folks are thinking.

Legally it is not. In Colorado, elective surgeries that can safely be deferred for 30 days are currently being postponed. The decision is made by the physician/surgeon after discussion with the patient and weighing the benefits of waiting against the risks.

I don't think they can make it mandatory for adults, if mean even now irresponsible parents are allowed to not let their child be vaccinated (I don't think that's right). I think they should be mandatory for children if they are to attend public schools. And strongly recommended for adults.

That's obviously stupid, you don't die from gambling addiction withdrawal as you do from alcohol withdrawal. BTW, I don't approve of marijuana dispensaries being deemed essential either.

You could if you were waiting in line to get your daily fix of lottery tickets and caught Covid19.

Even medical marijuana?

There is currently no consideration of "essential" for medical procedures. They are all either elective or emergent. They will suggest deferring any procedure for 30 days if it can be done safely at that time without additional risk. They will re-evaluate in 30 days. That refers to any procedure that is not an emergency at the time of visit.

Bread and circus. Politicians know that people need a distraction, lest they focus on what the politician is doing. Throw out an abortion carrot, maybe ban some church stuff, that'll distract them for a while so they forget about the governor (or mayor's) uselessness.

Marijuana dispensaries are essential because of people that need to use it for chronic pain management and other medical conditions. If a pharmacy is open then so can a dispensary, provided it is legalized in the state.
