And common sense. Anything related to entertainment is obviously not essential and churches are in that category. If you work for a company that produces or distributes food or other essential item or a company that is a supplier for essential manufacturing and your job can't be done from home, then you're essential. If you are in law enforcement, or some type of emergency management, of course you're essential. It's not that hard. You need a leader in a situation like this to enforce rules, relying on the public common sense is a losing bet.

How is it not time sensitive? There is a limited time you can get an abortion and the later you get it, the more risks and costs it has. You can't wait for 6 months for an abortion. Not to mention that giving birth will take a lot more medical resources. 

 

Now something like a routine STD screening, routine pap smear or an IUD insertion can wait and a birth control prescription can be renewed on the phone. But abortion cannot wait.

I personally do not consider Church's essential but others I am sure do.

The state I'm in has not deemed any business "essential" or not, they merely issued a list of businesses that should close due to public health risk. Not sure if that's sneaky intentionally to avoid later legal action or just lazy on their part.

Depo shots cannot be done over the phone. Also there's the difficulty a lot of women run into with the OBGYN refusing to give them the BC RX unless they take a pee test. The of course the lovely problem that happens when the pharmacy stressed to the max and is running strange hours also can't get the BC filled in time.

 

While I'm sure there will be a crush of babies as a result of COVID quarantining, I am concerned about women getting the critical OBGYN care they need and proper access to birth control.

That's ridiculous. If a woman needs an abortion, she cannot wait. No woman should be forced to give birth, which, as already explained above, will take up way more resources than a simple abortion.

Yes, there's kind of a gray area for sure, it's not just OBGYN care, it's medical care in general. Abortion is definitely not in the gray area though.

Beyond ridiculous. Abortion is always safer than continuing the pregnancy. Always. You want to force women to give birth? You're do realize there's no alternative, right? Pro forced birth
