F11 Visa to expire soon, I have a question or two.

Quick update, I received a response saying Visa extensions (as expected) are not doable, as such I had to present myself to the Embassy at a specific day and time, print out the letter so I can have access to enter the Embassy and bring a letter explaining why I couldn't make it to the US (in the event I'm unable to do so) along with $325 (cash) for the Visa tariff.

 

 

I take it this is the part where it was previously mentioned this is where it's "at the discretion of each consulate" for expired visas to be re-issued.

Yes.  It will likely also require a new nedical, so be prepared for that, too.

Would you say it's prudent or a good idea to go this Wednesday or will it be best I wait and see if by some miracle I'm able to make it to my May 9th flight and only if missed should I go?
