The I-765 and I-131 are processed by the NBC. The I-485 is handled by the local field office.

Sometimes the local field office is faster than NBC. If so, they will issue the green card and the other forms are no longer needed.

Note that being ready to be scheduled for an interview does not mean they stop processing the forms at NBC. You can be in that status for many months, depending on local field office. In my wife's case, it was in that status for ~8 months before getting the interview scheduled notice.

That makes sense.Yes, I always though the I-485 would take a long time. A few people have reported here recently that they're interviews have been waived, and they have just been granted the green card, due to the huge backlog caused by Covid19...so, I'll hope for the best, prepare for the worst! Thank you for your help!

I-485 are also processed by NBC. They verify the forms, evidences, send RFE if necessary. When the paperwork is okay, they notify the local office to put the case in the line for interviews.

Some people even say that the NBC only sends the paperwork to the local office when the interview is actually scheduled.

To me having only the i130 approved at this stage just seems a bit odd since my application is at the field office already. Unless they still want me to be there for a interview to find something else beyond my marriage status.

The i130 is just the underlying petition. For K1, for example, the underlying petition is the i-129F. An AOS can only be approved if the underlying petition is approved first. So even if you had your interview before the i-130 was approved, the AOS would be put on hold until a decision is made on the 130.

It goes through an initial review there. It is not adjudicated.

I think it's more than an initial review. They check the form, if it was filed correctly, if the required documents were sent. And only send it to the local office if everything is correct.

The local office will check the couple itself. Lol

Well that would be a review as they don't adjudicate it (and I have seen RFEs to correct items on it after the interview, or provide missing documents). :) Maybe "initial" isn't the best word, but a "non-final" review.

The LFO interview is more than just checking the couple. I mean, they do it for non-spousal cases, and even non-family based cases.

I received the I 130 approval  letter and it states that now I can apply for adjustment of status. However I already applied concurrently. Any thoughts on this?..

It's a generic letter.

Looks like standard language for I-130 approval notice where "beneficiary is in the United States and will apply for adjustment of status" was selected. So its normal.
