Hello there, just want to ask some people here how is the process on applying for naturalization online. I know that you have to fill out forms but how bout the documents, how would you attach that? Also, how long does it normally takes? They said that this is faster than the green card process. I just get qualified to apply now and for my green card, I am just about to have an interview soon. I have no idea for this. I would appreciate for your answers. Stay safe!

Just a pro tip about N-400 online filing:

 

you have to use Internet Explorer to upload the documents/fill out the application, otherwise it may not work!! I submitted and uploaded with Firefox recently and the documents did not successfully upload.

Okay. Thank you. Did you just apply or it's already been awhile? It is too long to wait again before you get an updates like for green card process?

Would you be filing under the 3 years married to a USC rule or the 5 years GC holder rule? You're only eligible to apply for citizenship under one or the other (with the exception of US military service).

I am applying naturalization  under the 3 years married with USC. My green card is still on process and latest updates I have is the case is ready to schedule for an interview but im not sure when I will have that so Im really thinking if while waiting for that, I should just apply for n-400.

When you say your GC is still "in process" do you mean Removing Conditions on the 2 year GC?

Yes, that's what it is. My 2 yr green card will expire on July 2020

Seems it's too early to file based on having a green card for at least 3 years* and living in marital union with the US citizen spouse during such time: https://www.uscis.gov/us-citizenship/citizenship-through-naturalization/naturalization-spouses-us-citizens

Did you enter with an IR-1 visa in 2018? If so, on which day?

I entered with a k1 fiancé visa on 2016. I think it's not too early because my GC 3 year anniversary would be on July and I can file now since it will be in 90 days timeframe. I aslo called the USCIS and they say, I can do that. I became a permanent resident on 07/2017. My apology, I made a mistake putting on my last reply that my GC will expire on 2020. It expired on 07/2019 and they gave me an extension

Then, yes you can file now if it's the 90 day early filing window. Note that for filing online it's recommended to use Internet Explorer:
