I was asked originally to upload the Green Card and marriage certificate. I uploaded them now under the category "Identity/Travel Documents" for the GC and "Other" for the marriage certificate. I hope these are the proper categories for these docs.

Used Chrome BTW and they show up now on the list of uploaded documents.

Yup, haven't heard of any glitches regarding uploading documents after submission, seems to work with any browser. It's only the uploads before submission that tend to disappear.

I assume you're filing under the 5 year rule since you upload so few documents. I doubt the category affects anything, they'll see all your uploads anyway. So you probably did it right.

I uploaded to the documents tab through unsolicited information. Did you guys have any issues from USCIS doing that? Did they accept the uploaded files?

Yes, everything was accepted.  But strangely, at interview my wife was asked if we paid taxes last year and wanted proof after she said yes.  My wife provided a hard copy of the transcript to the IO.  Really, it felt like the IO did not look at anything sent electronically prior to the interview.  So I recommend anything you submit electronically, you should bring a hard copy to the interview.

Actually it is required, not recommended to bring with you to the interview everything you attached online.

The interview letter states : "... If copies of a document were submitted as evidence with your N400 application, the originals of those documents should be brought to the interview."

If one did not attach such things as tax documents initially, I suggest to bring them with you just in case in order to avoid an RFE as it depends on the officer. Obviously bring anything else you think can be relevant but don't volunteer anything until asked. Just have everything in a folder.

Just as an FYI, most all browsers have this issues uploading files when you submit your application EXCEPT for Internet Explorer. Seems that is the main browser USCIS has used for all its online forms. Also have had several other users that called USCIS about the same exact thing, the USCIS Reps told them to us Internet Explorer and it worked properly. So Anyone in the future that is submitting their app online, Use Internet Explorer instead of other web browsers.

What if I do not have Internet Explorer?

This is an old thread, likely this glitch has been fixed by now.
