Greetings!

It has been one month and two days after receiving a letter from NVC with all details to start the process. We paid but got stuck and unable to finish CEAC IV application since it needed applicants passport number. And passport appointment was moved until enhanced community quarantine is lifted. Anyone? has the same experience with dealing govt. office? offices? related to documents needed? Thank you, NG

We are stuck as well as we don't have 2018 tax return transcript, we only have 2016 and 2017..we requested for 2018 transcripts 15 days ago but it hasn't come to her mailbox yet and we are hoping it comes this week if not we will go ahead and upload 16 and 17 transcripts and I hope that won't be a drawback for us

Do you know that you can view and print your tax transcripts online right away? All you have to do is register.  Reference: https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript

You can check thru online as well.

She tried this but she has been having issue since she change her last name, irs haven't update their system with her new last name which makes it impossible for her to get it done online

They both show your total income in a year but what nvc want is tax return transcripts not tax transcripts

Ah, but on 2nd thought...

 

I suppose anyone can fill out a 1040 and sign it and claim it as their return.  The person reviewing it would not know the difference.   I stand corrected.

Don't be concerned about transcripts vs tax return.   As of this time the embassy in the Philippines accepts the tax return (1040)

Transcripts don't cost $50, they are FREE

 

"The IRS does not charge a fee for transcripts, which are available for the current tax year as well as the past three tax years."

 

An "actual copy" is where the IRS charges the bucks.

If you file taxes, you should be keeping a copy from the last seven years at least... I still have some from 10+ years ago.
