I like that you snuck that one in there. People voted for Biden. It absolutely sucks that he's the nominee, but people actually voted for him. There's no DNC conspiracy, Biden just got more votes.

Yeah, all the other top candidates just happened to all drop out of the race at the same time and the one candidate that potentially hurt Bernie stayed in?

Already explained above

If Bernie is responsible for paying people more not to work than to work and ignoring the people that actually create jobs, then I am glad he is out.

How is that a conspiracy? None of them were viable and if they were, they ran out of money. At some point they had to drop out and considering that Sanders was way to the left of pretty much all of them, why would they endorse him instead of Biden?

I'm not sure what you mean by "he one candidate that potentially hurt Bernie stayed in". He was well on his way to become the frontrunner, which he eventually did.

Would I have prefered Bernie? Of course. Does that mean that the people who voted for him, putting him on the path to become the frontrunner even before people started dropping out one after another, aren't valid? Of course not, their votes count too and people didn't start dropping out until it became clear that Biden had a chance against Sanders.

When the other candidates dropped out, right before Super Tuesday except for Elizabeth Warren, Biden was barely hanging on to third or forth place.  He won SC with a big endorsement from a top level Democrat, but three days later if everyone else had stayed in who knows what would have happened.  Appears much to orchestrated for me, and money really doesn’t play a huge factor at that point.  If one of the other candidates had won some of the states on Super Tuesday just three days after SC, the money would have flowed in.

Because the DNC did no harm to Bernie in 2016, he just dropped out on his own?

There was a clear difference in how the DNC acted between 2016 and this year.

And he didn't just drop out in 2016, she won the primary. I do like how republicans are suddenly interested in the democratic party, as if they're not just pushing a conspiracy theory to try to divide democrats, right before the general election.

At least thanks to Bernie's fight we have extra $600 per week in unemployment and more people qualify for unemployment, including gig workers and contractors. So he's helping people. Medicare for all could do a lot of good but maybe the US can join the civilized world in implementing this "radical" idea in 50 years. But then climate change will have caused too much damage, so... 😕

Yeah what's funny though is that Trump is out Lefting the Establishment Democrats by offer Medicaid to pay for testing and treatment of people for the Coronavirus. Even the more Progressive people I watch/listen to are seeing this as a good first step. Not mention that Trump is going to blow Biden out of the water.

Libertarians are basically Republicans.

Libertarians are not Republicans any more than an Independent is. Far from it. Of course there are many so-called Libertarians liking to sit in the Republican pool, but the two really don't have much to do with each other.

If we get Medicare for all by Trump I will become a Trump supporter for this particular issue. I doubt that historical promises to pay for the uninsured will materialize though but we'll see.

What are the actual differences? They support the exact same policies. The only differences seem to be that the libertarian party is filled with nutjobs and that they love to complain about age of consent laws.

Not even close.  Republicans today tend to be big government types, maybe not as bad a the Democrats, but still.  Libertarians tend to be more fiscally conservative while wanting to control the reach of the government and its bureaucrats.  Libertarians today are the Liberals of the past.

Nice to hear from a voice of reason in an otherwise tumultuous world.  Thank you.

I would go further. I'd say libertarians are republicans economically and democrats socially.

I also know many anarchists who hate both sides equally(anarchists are like on the extreme spectrum of libertarian).

Personally I'm more of a minarchist in most ways. To them that makes me a statist. Has anyone ever read Robert Nozick's "Anarchy, State, and Utopia"? Good book.
