These are very strange times and I do not think you should put limits on yourself at the moment. We all need to practice some self-care.

I am, I am!!  I figure the more margaritas I drink:

A) The less room there is in my body for a virus

2) The less hospitable said room will be due to alcohol killing viruses

But I admit, I MAY need to step up my game when it comes to alcohol.  I have been slumming it on 70 proof lately.  I probably should get serious and buy some 150+ proof stuff to maintain safety.

At least thanks to Bernie's fight we have extra $600 per week in unemployment and more people qualify for unemployment, including gig workers and contractors. So he's helping people. Medicare for all could do a lot of good but maybe the US can join the civilized world in implementing this "radical" idea in 50 years. But then climate change will have caused too much damage, so... 😕

Yay Bernie!! Threaten to hold up a bill for an extra $600, as opposed to passing one that keeps employer's doors open longer.

50 years, eh?  How come "climate change" hasn't caused too much damage in the past 500 million years?

I endorse this plan which seems very sensible to me. Maintaining a baseline level of alcohol to slosh about on sounds solid AND practical. :)

To be fair and non-partisan, I am including not ONLY yeasts from alcohol, but also yeasts from that beautiful loaf of sourdough I posted in my derailment thread with fresh butter.  Life is good...

That's the yeast of your worries.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Like what? The thread is about Bernie Sanders ending his campaign. And I did say it was open to tangentially related discussion, so show me your tangent. :)

:D I am reforming my ways! It was a resolution for 2020.

Did anyone expect Bernie as an Independent would win the Democrat Party primary?  I mean anyone could have seen this coming from a mile away, the DNC would not allow it.  Now the DNC is left with a nominee that has very questionable mental faculties, and the DNC will be hoping people vote based on who the VP pick is.

Yeah, being for the workers is really a non-starter if there is no one around to employ them.  Additionally, the whole unemployment package was really ill thought out, incentivizing people to not work.  Ain’t communism grand!

I like that you snuck that one in there. People voted for Biden. It absolutely sucks that he's the nominee, but people actually voted for him. There's no DNC conspiracy, Biden just got more votes.
