So you come into a forum where we discuss many things, but a lot of political ideologies and candidates, and you refuse to discuss any particular issue that you find out of line, but you are fine with throwing out general statements about an entire group of people with the label of "conservative".  

I highly suggest you review the TOS (aka "Boiler's Bible") before you take a few more involuntary vacations.

 

Also, I never said you were trying to unify VJ users (quite the opposite, by your own words), but the premise here is that people can discuss their beliefs openly without fear of persecution.  It's one of the more sane forums for discussing politics I have come across and been willing to stick around.  The concept of unifying is not trying to change others' opinions, but at least reading and trying to understand them while expressing your own.  Open discourse.

Just ask Layla, we don't agree on a whole lot, but we still talk about stuff.  And even though we differ on many topics, I don't recall either of us calling the other one insane.

There are an awful lot of PEOPLE (not just conservatives, but yeah, those too) who were simply tired of wishy washy leadership.  Trump's bluntness/brashness gave people hope for a stronger leadership style, I think.  Even if it does come with the silliness of twitter and the attitude of a bully.

Last time I heard, freedom of speech includes the right not to speak. I will discuss the things I'm interested in and nothing else. 

 

Also, I called conservative ideas and talking points insane, not people. 

 

I just don't like being called a liberal because I'm not that. I prefer anti conservative. I think that term suits me better. Feel free to disagree and I'll be free to not respond.

Yes, well, he would agree with you on that. I do show him all of these things and the comments are going straight to his head and making him occasionally insufferable. He makes up for that by being otherwise compassionate, funny, brilliant, kind, mostly helpful and super-cute.

All conservatives are crazy , but somehow the phrase. As an example only TDS is offensive

US centrists are right-wing in the rest of the world though. Things like affordable healthcare, worker's rights and abortions/euthanasia are non-issues in a lot of other Western countries.
