I think I have a friend who falls in this category. Dad was a USC his sister is the sponsor. Her dad filed for her when she was unmarried and was above 21 but unfortunately his dad passed away after 2-3 years of filling the application. He filed form I-130 for her then. But now she’s married and has 2 children. My question is that will her dad death has any effect on her application? All she received was just a case number nothing else. And it’s over 5 years now. My question again is she going to the US if eventually heard something from them With his children and the husband? How does this work please

My friend father filed form I-130 father to Daughter in 2015 She was 23 years of age and unmarried when he filed for her but she got married before the petition was approved and divorced now with 3 kids. Her sister in the US is her sponsor while the dad is the petitioner but unfortunately in 2017 her dad passed on but her sister has let them know about the father death. Now fast forward last week USCIS approved her petition. But I read on visa journey that since the dad who was the petitioner has died will this affect her chances and her being married? Please she’s about to hire an attorney to help her pursue her case. I need to know so I can advise her. Thank you

USCIS approved petition Last week but petitioner died 3 years ago in another country. Sister is the sponsor. If I didn’t tell USCIS about dad death and have my sister took it up for me. How will they find out. I have my dad passport with me. What other things they will still need from my daddy. Please advice
