So with all the coronavirus business it is proving to be very difficult for my Nigerian Fiancé to get his end of the paperwork gathered. Are there any Nigerians our here who can give us some pointers on the best route to take for getting a birth certificate, declaration of age, and immunization records?
Also, I am having difficulty filling out all the fields on the pdf online. Had anyone else submitted their packet with old fashioned pen?

Regarding the filling out of the fields in the PDF, I found I needed to use Adobe Acrobat Reader to be able to actually use all the fields.  There was still a couple where I had to add the dates in manually (i.e. workplace being still current and it only allowing a date in there but not the word 'PRESENT' like in the address history.  I found that the native readers on Mac and PC and also the 'browser' based PDF readers lacked this significantly.  Definitely download the actual for to your desktop or a dedicated folder and work on it from there.

Regarding the other items, I suspect there will be some people more educated than I on this, however my suggestion is not to let the COVID-19 to be a distraction...unless you physically cannot get the items you need because of it... (i.e. records offices closed etc), get as much as you can now and get the form filed as soon as you can. :)

I'm a little confused....

1) Birth certificate: The only requirement here is evidence of the petitioner being a US citizen. If born in the US, a BC is one way to do this. Nigeria would have nothing to do with this piece of it. Alternative documents are things like a US passport, naturalization certificate, etc.

Edit: The beneficiary's BC will be needed for the consulate processing later.

2) Declaration of age is not needed for the I-129F. It may or may not be needed for the visa interview later...it's not a standard document but each consulate has their own requirements.

3) Immunization records of the petitioner are not needed at any stage. Immunization records of the beneficiary are not needed for the petition...they can be provided, if available, at the medical later.

4) There is no official online form for the I-129F. There is a PDF provided by USCIS (https://www.uscis.gov/i-129f), which can be completed via desktop software or printed and mailed. Either is fine.

Here is information that I have gathered from others from Nigeria.

Scheduling the interview can take 1 to 3 months. Once you pay the $265 visa fee at GTB Bank, you can go online to schedule an appointment at www.ustraveldocs.com You can get the forms online at http://nigeria.usembassy.gov/immigrant_visa_forms.html No need to go to the consulate to pick up forms. Download forms if unexpired or get current versions of same forms. Email LagosIV@state.gov for your interview date.

His documents would come at the interview stage if his birth certificate isn’t from the National Population Commission then I would recommend he get’s an attestation of birth to be on the safe side. There is discussion on it in the Trump Travel ban thread.

Hi I thought Nigerian was banned for the K-1 visa, or am I wrong?

The ban does not impact K-1 visas.

(U) K Visas:  K visas are nonimmigrant visas and therefore are treated as such for PP 9645 purposes and not subject to PP 9983.  Therefore, if a K visa applicant is subject to restrictions under PP 9645 as a nonimmigrant applicant, he/she must either qualify for an exception or waiver before a visa may be issued.

So I can apply for the K1 visa?

How about the spousal visa do you have any idea if it was banned.

Yes to the K-1.

Spousal and all other immigrant visas are banned. A waiver is available, but no guarantee you would get it.

I know. So I guess everything is still the same with K1 visa.

Thanks

Why would it be different?  If you took it away that would render the k1 useless

YMMV
