The Democrats are hysterically blaming President Trump for the fact that the Wuhan virus is killing some Americans.  No doubt, they also will blame Trump for the recession that will be caused, not by the virus, but by government's reaction--overreaction, in my opinion-–to the virus.

In doing this, the Democrats are making some critical assumptions. [...]

I get politics and the nastiness of it. 

Using this disaster for political gain is unfathomable. 

 

Pelosi trying to put together a committee with subpoena power makes me nauseous. 

 

Overall the response has been good. We have never faced anything like this, so of course there will be hiccups. 

A good example was the reporter last night who tried to skewer Trump becuase there have been some small glitches in the sba paycheck program.

I wouldn't say that it's just Democrats who promote hate. 

Both parties are trying to blame each other and claim that the other party is using the deadly virus for politics gain.

No doubt, there are a few illogical conservatives under the same deranged anti-Trump logic blaming Trump for the Wuhan virus, but largely, in an issue that should be uniting for Americans, its shouldn't be a surprise its overwhelmingly the left again and their partner media apparently smelling political blood and trying to wield this issue, along with anything else that comes across their screens, as some sort of springboard to get rid of Trump. Naturally, it'll fail, especially with the key moderate and independent demographics that helped Obama in 08/12 and Trump in 16.

On this very forum we see proof of this.

 

Even though I respect some of the things Ben Shapiro says, when he invokes Hanlon's Razor (Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity), it's clearly because understanding malice means you rely less on political "experts" like he supposedly is. Overtly, this isn't an issue of stupidity or education, but a certain demographic believing there should be no barriers whatsoever to them getting their way, and they, not being dumb, understand the ignorance and spinelessness of key demographics (moderates, and independents) is what they're going to target. Independents like me caught onto it early (though in my case not early enough), but there's plenty of others who try to pretend they should take this anti-Trump stuff seriously. When you see the tabloid fake news media, neocons and bad actors in the bureaus teaming with Democrats, it's pretty obvious who to oppose the most.

Experts have been warning about this forever but no one in power listened. Now everyone is shocked that a pandemic catches us unprepared. In 20 years, people will be shocked about the devastating effects of climate change, no one could have seen that coming.

Given in 20 years from now we'll have the most draconian "climate" implements in force for years already, what won't be shocking is that the Earth's climate systems don't give two figs about leftist political and economic policies. No matter, the end goal is one's way, so as long as that's achieved, the way it was done is immaterial. 

 

Hence, "the virus originated in Wuhan (China) labs/markets but if you pass the laws I want in the US/Canada (here's some "experts" that agree with me, now discard all logic/reason/lack of proof!"), it'll change the climate, save us from all our problems, etc!". Only the weak will capitulate to this comedy.

Really makes you wonder, why didn't Trump just distribute the ventilators himself? I keep reading how the President (the almighty) is in control of everything and thus everything that happens (especially negative) is on him.

Climate change is a scientific issue and it's a shame it's turned into a political one. The only points we should be listening to are the points the experts make. No one else. 

 

Actually, I guess ExxonMobil disinformation campaign worked. They know about climate change but since awareness of it interferes with their profits, they have been spreading disinformation for decades. Climate change denial  exists thanks to them.

The campaigns all run a similar playbook: they cite fake experts, place impossible demands on the science, cherry-pick data, impugn the integrity of individual scientists and the scientific process, and appeal to conspiracy theories. They leave the public with the perpetual impression that there are lots of unresolved questions, and that scientists are not to be trusted.
