Visa interview - certified US passport copy?

Hi guys. I'm preparing documents for my wife's visa interview. If I'm providing a copy of my passport, does it need to be certified? Currently, I don't think I can get it certified since offices around me are closed due to the virus.

 

I checked the embassy interview required documents list and a passport is not required. I just want to include a copy just to be sure.

If it's not required then it certainly doesn't need to be certified

I'm not sure what the purpose of having a copy would be...?

1/2/18: EAD + AP approved (no website update), 1/5/18: EAD + AP mailed, 1/8/18: EAD + AP approval notice hardcopies received, 1/10/18: EAD + AP received

9/5/18: Interview scheduled notice, 10/17/18: Interview

10/24/18: Green card produced notice, 10/25/18: Formal approval, 10/31/18: Green card received

I just want to have everything prepared if asked for, maybe I'm just too cautious. I've been reading things about HCM consulate in Vietnam being really hard. They seems to ask about things that are not even on the required list (Ex. family tree, relationship timeline, petitioner certificate of naturalization)

There is no such thing as a certified copy of a passport.  A copy of the data page might be good to have.  Otherwise copies of other pages that show entry and exit from the spouse's home country is good relationship evidence as it documents the time you've been in country.
