So I finally got it on my third attempt and I just remembered one important thing that I changed. I changed the exemption category from urgent personal business to the compassionate grounds one. According to the Senate hearing most of the approvals were through compassionate grounds while heaps of people were getting rejected with the urgent personal business reason due to insufficient evidence. I’m not 100% sure if this was what made it work because I also edited the statement I wrote to include more details about the K1 visa stuff.

Will I have to do a separate application for my three year old and hope they both get accepted or can I include them in one? I am leaning towards applying via email so I can do them together if that is the case with info and everything for the both of us.

I included my whole family on the form, as they give you options to add people

I applied two days ago, got the approval late yesterday afternoon and the flight date was 27 May.

@ECCK Congratulations!  It appears we're heading into another weekend in limbo, it's really weighing her down.  It's a shame because it's hard to get excited right now with no real assurance that she can actually fly out on the 30th.  If this one gets rejected, we'll explore the compassionate option, I appreciate the tip.  I did read where someone mentioned calling and getting some help, what number did they call? This hasn't been a helpful option the one time she attempted it....
