I have a feeling that USCIS is gearing up to approve more cases with the interview waived. As pointed out it would make sense for them to do that to avoid a HUGE backlog and bottleneck. Let's hope it

No that happened for a while then ended. Everyone getting an i485 through marriage now seem to require an interview. There seems to be more movement with people having interviews scheduled over the past couple of weeks.
