Congratulations,  did you have to submit the Form i-763 for medical exam?    Just wondering if they are also waiving the medical exam or just the interview?

I’m not sure what that is... my husband had his medical exam prior to coming to the US in London.

I think you mean form I-693. I also think in order to get the interview  wavier all your  papers need to be in order. I don't  think the medical would be waived if you needed it.

Green card being produced!! So excited after thinking there was going to potentially be a delay with Trump's announcement. Thought out interview was never going to be rescheduled.

So far no email update. We discovered by accident just checked the case status.

Whewwww congrats I thought these no interview CGs would be coming more regularly. I think you are the 6th or 7th person to report it here on VJ.

I am reading that K-1 Visa process can have the interview waived.   We are AOS from a B2 Visitor VISA.   Can they waive the i-485 interview in our situation or just the K-1?

I'm reading more about K-1's and it seems to me that you are "inspected" and admitted on a K-1, implying that they will check for fraud at the border.   Is that what really goes on and so they can waive the interview because a person already was "interviewed" when they came in?   My girlfriend had a B-2 Visa so she entered at the time like all other visitors with a one or two question inspection at the window and her passport was stamped.   What is a K-1 interview like?

Most K-1s aren't interviewed at the border, it's all at the Embassy before the visa is issued. I'm sure some K-1s get a grilling at the border, but in general we just get sent to secondary so they can process the wad of paperwork the Embassy has you take with you.

edit: For me, they sent me to secondary and told me it wouldn't be long (and it wasn't); another agent opened my file then called me over, reminded me I had to get married within 90 days, then stamped me passport and sent me on my way.

i think those that got waived for the 2 year conditional GC will get interviewed for the 10 year GC, where its usually the opposite these days.

Overall these interview waivers really seemed to have dryed up pretty fast, i dont see many people reporting them on various websites as much (if at all) as about a month ago, i also track a lot of 485 applications and none of them have moved from "waiting for interview" for almost 4 weeks now.

the POE interview isnt anything like an AOS interview. Its very brief theyll ask you a few simple questions and you`ll be on your way. An AOS interview usually will be a little more involved where they will look at evidence you provide and ask you directly about it.
