So, Should I amend 2018 return after I get ITIN or do 2018 amend as MFS, once I get ITIN do another amend as MFJ?

My personal opinion is amending from single to married separate is a waste of time

True, I think just wait to get ITIN and then do 2018 amend. By chance, even if she get her interview before getting ITIN. she can tell them, that she had applied for ITIN and after she will get she will do 2018 amend as joint. All mistake thanks to my tax person who does not guide or neither i didn't know at that time. SO, I would have done all this early. SO MUCH MONTHS WASTED.

Question,  My wife who live outside U.S and never been to U.S. In this w-7 form it asking for mailing address and non-U.S. address. Should I put mine in U.S address option and her address in foreign address?

 

I am filing as MFJ or jointly.
