Good news, furlough has been averted! Unfortunately, they also say waiting times will be longer because they had to cut federal contracts that assist adjudicators but I'm choosing to look at the bright side 😀

We have “EAD card produced” as of yesterday. But no changes to our AOS, it still says “Biometrics scheduled” and the AP just says case received. We didn’t expedite.

This was without a expedite request?

Nope.

But, we had the I-130 approved before we even did the AOS, so I don’t know if that sped things along or not. We were originally going the CR1 route.

So, today I tried reaching out to USCIS again to find out if there has been any movement regarding my biometrics appointment.

Unfortunately nothing at all (we're in Wisconsin) and filed on 04/23. This is getting more and more frustrating :(

Have you spoken to a Tier 2 officer?

No, they usually cut me off with that there is nothing they can do and that the status is pending. Were you able to get through to a Tier 2 officer?

If you call first thing in the morning, when you speak to a representative just say you would like to speak to a Tier 2 officer and you will be put in a callback system. I would absolutely recommend doing it. I originally missed my first biometrics appointment, I had phoned and used live chat (Emma) several times and was told no appointment. It wasn't until I spoke to a Tier 2 I was told about my biometrics appointment that I missed. Rescheduled for Sep 1st now though, so all good.

Recieved TWO biometrics letters for 8/24 and 8/25. One of them had my name spelled wrong. They took both appointment letters at ASC, took fingerprints and told me not to come on 25th (but I still came there just to be on the safe side).

Filed the petition in the end of April.

Thanks so much! I'll try that tomorrow morning. Did you call a specific number?

We are in the same situation with a preapproved I-130 and switched from CR1 to AOS. I found out that it would take longer time for my husband to get his green card as he won’t be approved during the interview or immediately after😩

I have tried that too. I called them the third time today and they keep telling me that I just have to wait and it takes up to 90 days. Which super frustrating considering people who filed months later are getting biometrics done. My receipt date is 04/13.

Same here. Receipt date 04/14 and no word on biometrics for us yet. It’s pointless to call or chat since they just continue to repeat 90 days.
