Thank you for your reply. This is really weird... I have a family member recently deceased and I want to go back to my home country to attend the funeral. A Tier 2 officer scheduled me an in-person meeting two weeks from now. I mean I understand each person's situation is different, but how is waiting for weeks a solution to an "emergent" AP? I was wondering if you can share their fax number so maybe I can try and send in my supporting documents too?

The problem with the fax number is that they tell you you must include your Referral ID and the email they send you. So I feel like if you send your documentation without those, it will be ignored. I would suggest calling back and requesting specifically that you need the AP to be expedited urgently and that you have evidence to prove why.. that you would like to send via fax. I hope you'll get a more helpful agent.

Hi do you mind sharing your experience of expediting your case? How did you do and on what grounds?

Sure, it’s on financial loss and medical ground, I had a job offer and my spouse is ill. Had my biometrics on 11th and called to expedite on 12th, faxed evidence same day and status changed on 13th. I think I got lucky.

Hi, I also requested on financial loss. What evidence did you include?

I called USCIS yesterday and they told me that there's no letter yet sent to me. According to my NOA, they received my application for AOS on April 6 and EA on April 16. The representative told me that since Denver just re-opened last July 20th, I have to give it around 90 days, if by October I haven't received a letter then i have to call them back. 😑 .... I received calls from companies and when I say my EA is still pending they can't go further. i feel stuck. been here since Feb 8, 2020. 😒

Not sure if this question belongs here but I'm gonna ask anyways...I tried to apply for jobs and one of the first questions they ask is if I'm legally allowed to work in the US. Technically we are not (yet), so I'm just wondering how you got around this hurdle and got the job offer?

I was going to ask the same question, I have been applying but clicking "No" for the question and not really hearing back because of it.

I always clicked yes. And When they asked for availability to start I explain to them my situation. They only ask this if you would require them to sponsor you for work visa... at least that’s what the HR person told me. If you have a job offer you can try expediting the EAD, so that’s what I explained to them. A company has been waiting for me almost 3 months now 😬

My husband spoke to a representative through Emma today. Same response for the Cleveland office (opened 7/27) as far as having to wait 90 days for biometrics. He also asked again about sending his NOA in the mail for his I-485, since he only received one for his EAD. Said 2-4 weeks due to covid. We filed mid April, lmao.

FYI: We FINALLY received our biometrics appointment letter TODAY (08-15-2020) for the same Cleveland office. We have an April 30 priority date. Filed in early April. Had to refile due to that silly wrong i765 version fiasco and they accepted on May 19.

Yours has GOT to be coming soon.

That's good to hear! I hope it shows up soon. I have people I know, that are ready to hire him as soon as he gets that EAD.
