Hi thanks for the information. Let me explain my situation. I filled concurrently and pd is 27 April. I did my biometric 10 August. I have a job offer in hand starting from October 05. However I am in a different state and my job location is in another state. If I want to expedite the EAD how should I approach? Any suggestions? Thank you for the help.

I would think it would be best to contact the local congressman in the state you wish to work... otherwise, you can expedite on your own. Just call USCIS and ask for expedite on grounds of a job offer. See what happens.

Does my wife needs to be present with me on the Biometrics appointment?

at least in our area, they only allow the person getting the finger prints inside, no one else.   it took 5 minutes.

So, I've tried several times to find out via the chat function if I would be receiving my biometrics appointment soon (Receipt notice 04/23/2020). They first told me that I should receive something by August 27th since the Milwaukee office opened on 07/27/2020. Now, another representative said that I would have to wait 90 days once they opened up. It's so frustrating with all these different statements. I wanted to put an inquiry in and it says that my EAD receipt number is invalid..

I have talked to the USCIS representative using Emma just a couple minutes ago. He said that the appointment has been scheduled but he doesn't know when exactly as he doesn't have access to that info. That's the second time I'm doing that via Emma. I also had a conversation with another representative before and she gave me no info at all. I guess, it makes sense to talk to  different representatives. I filed the petition at the end of April.

My husband called last week and was able to get his appointment date, time, and location. So maybe it just depends on how much work/research the person you’re speaking to feels like doing.

Update for anyone in Texas. I finally received the biometrics appointment letter last Saturday Aug 08. It's scheduled on Aug 21 at Lubbock, TX office. My NOA is April 07.

I spoke to an officer on Emma yesterday to ask about if my biometrics had been filed for an appointment yet (April 8 2020 PD) and was told they had not yet been filed. After that I asked if there was any progress on my case since I submitted an RFE that was received on May 21 for my I485 and has yet to be responded to. The officer took some more info from me and said they were submitting a service request on the case due to it being so long since the RFE was received.

My question is what I should expect to come from this? Will this prompt any action on my case or will I just be notified that they are still working on it?

I am curious if anyone in Phoenix or Las Vegas has received their biometrics appointment yet?

Also- how do you know which office your biometrics will be taken at? Is it just the closest one to your home? I live in Arizona, but my closest office is in Nevada. Does that mean it will be at the Nevada office?

Thanks!
