Talked to a USCIS level 1 agent over the phone today, she says on her system it shows July 28th they sent the notice of Biometrics Appointment.

Yay! Our tracker updated yesterday saying my husband’s biometrics was scheduled as well. I’ll be stalking the mailbox until we get it!

I did sign up a while ago, but for some reason a lot of our USCIS letters slip in unidentified. So I check USPS and our mailbox everyday just to be sure 😊

I have a tracking app and had added the case numbers there for auto updates.

I know it’s just a small step in the process and that there will be a long wait until the interview, but it’s nice to make some progress!

Hi all, I have some good news to share with you all. I had my I765 and I131 approved today! To give some context, I filed AOS/I765/I131 in April. In May I requested expedite for my I765 as I had a job offer, but it was denied due to lack of biometrics.

About a week ago I contacted my congressman's office and requested their assistance in getting my work authorization expedited, despite my denial back in May. Fast forward to today and my I765 and I131 are approved. I did have to supply my job offer letter as proof that I had a pending job.

I have still not been issued a biometrics appointment, so I will be unable to be issued a card until that is done, but it's a huge relief to know its approved.

I suggest contacting your local congressman/woman for assistance with an expedite request if you have a job offer and want your case approved sooner.

Hey this is amazing! Congratulations!! I am in awe you were able to procure a job offer without an EAD or or GC. I feel at the end of the wall with employers who don't even accept applications from people in between the process of immigration. Do you mind sharing anything that might help get a job offer while in between this process? Please feel free not to answer if its too much.

I would honestly say "apply anyway". Right to work will only really come up once you're at the job offer stage, and given you're adjusting status (not getting them to sponsor a visa) this shouldn't be a bit barrier.

Hi all,

I talked to a live agent on the USCIS website this morning. I am waiting to hear when my biometrics appointment will be scheduled. I was told the National Benefits Center handling my AOS application have requested a interview be scheduled. Does anyone know how long it could take until I find out my appointment time and date?

Hi there! I was very fortunate that my husband's uncle was able to employ me at his company. Sorry I'm not of much more help!

Thank you. I always am apprehensive of answering the work authorization question on these websites. But I guess you are right, our case is slightly different, we are already in process. I will start trying and let's see how it goes.

Hey guys, I got my Biometrics letter in mail today. My case status is not updated yet, but super excited that it's one more step closer lol. Anyway, I'm adjusting from K1 and USCIS received my case on April 10th. I'll be going in for my Biometrics on 12th August in Atlanta GA and will update on my experience when I get back from ASC. If anyone is attending biometrics before me, would appreciate if you could share your experience post biometrics :)
