I am march 2020 AOS filer. And I-131/ travel is still pending . I am not sure when I-131 will be approved. My parents are not well and I have to urgently go to my home country.  What do I do ? Any suggestion?

Get the parents doctor's note (translated into English if necessary) and file for Emergency I-131 with your local USCIS office. Good luck!

Hi! Just checked my case online and I noticed that the status has changed for my I-765 from “Case received” to “case was updated to show fingerprints were taken”. Anyone else who received this update?

What is your NOA1 date? And from what visa are you adjusting? Your Timeline is empty...

Hi!

K1, and I don’t have the exact date because I’m currently out of town. But I received the NOA1 early May sometime.

Did you have previously taken biometrics on file?

Only time I have taken biometrics was on my K1 interview at the US embassy in my home country. Other than that I took them (like everyone) at the boarder when I came to the US.

Would anyone here be using the ASC's in Louisville or Cincinnati for biometrics/know if these offices will be re-opening? Judging by the list of ASC's on the USCIS closed offices page, I couldn't see them listed anywhere... 😟

I'm not using those locations, but I called USCIS today and he said locations for biometrics will be re-opening from July 13th.

Maybe they're just not listed then, hopefully they reopen! Thank you :)

Hello fellow April filers!

I did concurrent filings for I-131 and I-765 along with my AOS and received all 3 NOAs on May 1st. I then received my first RFE for my I-485 and sent in the required information which was received by USCIS on June 19th. Right now, just waiting for some news.

Dumb question: does AOS have to be approved before I-131 and I-765 can be approved? I keep checking the case statuses for these online and it hasn’t changed since May 1st which basically says they received my application and asks me to follow the instructions on the notice (nothing relevant except to verify that my info is correct).

thank you in advance and stay safe everyone!

The AOS is superior to the single EAD and AP since the greencard includes these benefits. So if the AOS gets approved before the other these applications will just get closed.

what was your RFE for?

My status is the same as yours on the 131/765 since April 7th, Case was Received.

My 485 says finger print fee was received.

nothing has changed and i dont beleive anything will until the finger print locations reopen

My RFE was kind of a redundant one. They asked me to send in a copy of my birth certificate, which was odd because I had actually sent in a few copies with my package. I figured it wasn’t clear enough for them, so enlarged it and resent it. Fingers crossed!

My 485 also says finger print fee was received. I guess we are all in the same boat! Let’s hope things move along :)

Hi, I just saw that they posted opening dates for s ome ASCs and both of these locations show as 7/27 :( I was hoping most of the locations would open next week.
