I didn't include the I 695 either since it runs out after a couple months and wanted to wait until the interview. I just hope we get through fast. At least we know they are working on it.

True :D

I just received my RFE and it's the birth certificate they want, again. I know for sure that we included it multiple times but I'm happy it's just that. Will copy it today and send it out tomorrow.

I just got RFE for my birth certificate as well today. I honestly don't understand why are there so many RFEs asking for another copy of birth certificate & translation although we submitted them initially. Will you just resubmit what you have submitted? Are you planning on submitting any other proof?

Yes, I will resubmit what I submitted in first place because that is all I have. The translation is also an official translation from a German translator. Do you plan on resubmitting the same as well?

Yes I will resubmit the same as well and a cover letter explaining it. I will refer to these websites regarding birth certificate:

Since our I -94 is about to expire. Do we file extension?

We just went through a similarly stressful situation, but the honest advice is indeed: try not to worry about it. You have a confirmation that your package was received by the Chicago lockbox (either from USPS or FedEx or whatever you used)? They have it. And once your case gets picked up, your "filing date" will be listed as the date they received it (i.e. we heard nothing until a few days ago, but now that it's there our is listed as filed on April 29). So no one will be out of status because you have already filed it, it's just not in their system just yet

Just got a courtesy letter that we did not submit a I 693. Said that we should bring it to the interview or if an interview is not required we will receive a request for evidence. At least I know they looked at our case.

Omg, it’s a good sign! If they ask for your medical that soon, it is highly likely the interview will be waived and you will get your I-485 approved quickly🙏

Buma, please remind when you sent your AOS, from what visa you are adjusting and NOA date? Your Timeline is empty.

It wasn't an RFE to send it in. Just a friendly reminder that we didn't. But I am happy to know that they went through my paperwork. Hopefully they send it to our local office for biometrics and interview. office should reopen next week.

Good to know that they did! My case being so close to yours hopefully they at the very least look into it.

I understand it is NOT an RFE, and that is why it is a good sign, for them to remind about the medical now. Did you check your case on CaseTracker app? What does it say in there? Does it say "Fingerprint fee was received" or does it say "Case was updated to show Fingerprints were taken"? If it's the latter, it is another good sign.

At this point they can skip the whole EAD and just give my husband his GC

😀 It’s quite the opposite for us, we’d rather get EAD so my husband can finally start working and we’d rather wait on GC till November...when the marriage is 2 years old and to avoid the whole removal conditions saga and all the stress associated with it.

Thank you! I filed via USPS and it only says "Your item was Delivered" is there a difference between Delivered and Received? How do i know my packet was received by the Chicago lockbox?
