I recieved my case receipt number through text on 20May2020, we sent our documents on 22April2020. Yet to receive the NOA in mail, let's see how much time it takes.

Finally we got our I-485 case number today, ouf! What a relief. Chatted with a real agent on Emma and obtained this way. They mailed the letter on 5/20.

We mailed the AOS package (from VWP) on 4/24, it was delivered 4/28, the bank check is yet to be cleared, and no texts received (we never filed for those text notifications, anyway).

Don't lose hope those who are still waiting, stay patient, the day will come for you soon!🌸

No, we didn't e-file anything. Our I-130 (which we submitted last June when we were originally applying for the CR1 visa) went to Texas - SRC. And we mailed in our AOS application.

Your case might have fallen into the rare category of a pilot program. This is quite interesting. Let's hope your approval comes faster and smoother than for the rest of us!🤞

I recently received an email about RFIE on my I-485. I can't possibly guess what it is. I will update with you guys once I get the letter.

Guys, my RFIE arrived. It's all about tax and income documents of our joint sponsor. This part is actually very confusing itself so I hope for some inputs from you guys.

Here is what I submitted to USCIS:

- My 2019 W-2 and Form 1040.

- My wife's 2019 W2 and a letter explains that she isn't required to file tax. But she ended up filing it anyway so we can submit a copy of Form 1040 this time.

- Joint sponsor/My uncle's 2019 tax return copies including W-2, Form 1040 and all its schedule sections, his 2018 and 2017 tax return transcipts.

So,

- At the first bullet point, I'm not sure if they are requesting tax documentation including mine, my wife's (petitioner) and joint sponsor's? or only joint sponsor's?

- The second thing about they couldn't determine if my uncle is qualified, I don't know why because the total income line (7b) in his 2019 Form 1040 is tripled federal poverty guideline.

I can only guess perhaps they require my aunt to be in the form because they filed tax jointly for all three years? My uncle 's W2 income is very small since he quited his job in March to open business with his wife my aunt. Most of their income last year is from joint business.

Or is it possible that becuase he signed the form then scanned it to me to print out so it's considered not properly signed?

Congratulations ! 🍾 Now your case is going to get moving. I looked through your timeline, looks like your fiancée arrived before the corona, but you managed to get married during the pandemic. Found a marriage officiant?

Yeah, fun times lol. Once we had to call off the wedding we were able to find a friend who could officiate and just gathered some friends and coworkers to be witnesses and such as well

I’ve been randomly checking for any updates on my case without any expectations for obvious reasons. However, today I saw they just sent an RFIE 🤬🤬🤬 I was not expecting that whatsoever. We included EVERYTHING and more. Anyway, I would bet it’s something about the birth certificate being wrong or something they lost lol. Unbelievable. Will let you know when I get the letter. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

Well what do you know? It WAS about my birth certificate 🙄🙄🙄🙄. Anyway, we sent the response yesterday: cover letter, copy of all pages of the RFIE, 2 copies of the birth certificate and translation so that they don’t lose it again 😂 and a screenshot of the requirements for birth certificates of people born in Argentina. 😬 Hope they like it 🤣
