wow, i'm curious what all the RFE's are for... but guess you have to see the positives and they are working on your case and something is happening....

Rejected again! Second time. First time was for using the old version of the i-485 which had an expiration date on the form in 2021. My fault for not keeping up with changes (not checking VJ) while I was getting the money for the fees together. This time I was rejected apparently for not including an i-864 for both the K-1 and K-2 i-485s. I mistakenly believed that the one form was good for both since both my wife and child are on the one i-864. I'll just fill out another one and attach the same proof and send the packet back with the form attached. I guess I understand it because they need a signed form for both applications. Really upset this morning when I checked the mail, but all I can do is send it back ASAP and wait again. I hope no one else makes the same mistake.

Oh wow! Sorry to hear you were rejected for a second time. I've read on this thread that many people have been accepted using the I-485 form with the 2021 expiration date. Did they specifically say you must use the form with the 2020 expiration date?

USCIS has a list of things they will send RFEs for, there maybe more but here is the link https://www.uscis.gov/i-485Checklist

Yes, they rejected specifically because I used the wrong i-485. I guess the ones they accepted were lucky. So, I had to fill out 944 forms for both K-1 and K-2 and accumulate more evidence. I thought with the 944s and the one 864 I was OK, but now I realize they need two. This is really disappointing, but all you can do is press on and keep trying. My wife is pretty upset because she wanted to be able to travel sooner, but we'll hope for advance parole by the holiday season. I'll resend tomorrow. Now I'll join May filers I guess.

Wow just over a month. My month is coming up in a couple of days and I’m just insanely stressed. Did they take the money out at night when you posted?

Excuse my ignorance, but those folks using Case Tracker app, how do I know my case number if I mailed my AOS package and did not receive NOAs yet?

I guess Case Tracker is only useful if you have your NOA already...

I guess Case Tracker is only useful if you have your NOA already...

Yes, you would need your case number from the texts or the NOA.
