Hi all,

Regarding all the forms that will be submitted with the AOS package (I-485,I-131,I-765,I-864 and I-944), is it necessary to write N/A on every single answer that does not apply to me? from every form? Trying as much as possible to avoid getting a RFE...

I don’t know, but I used GreenCardHero for my forms and everything that did not pertain to my application was automatically filled with N/A.

I have a question for you guys. I did some research about this but could not find anything. I concurrently filed a month ago. My I-130 is still processing but my I-485 got RFE last week and today is accepted so it is going good for now.

My question is does USCIS process these applications seperately since my I-485 on the works right now? Or does this mean if my I-485 gets approved my case will be approved overall?

thanks!

If your i-485 gets approved, what else do you need?

We sent our packet a couple of weeks ago, delivered to the Chicago lockbox the afternoon of April 14, but still no word from USCIS. I know it’s still within the 2-4 week timeframe I’m seeing everywhere. I had originally assumed it might be slightly delayed due to Covid-19, but after seeing everyone’s updates of quick NOAs, I’m getting nervous! Anyone with the same timeline still waiting for their NOA?

We're in the same boat. Ours was delivered on April 15 and still nothing... Just called USCIS today and the rep couldn't find anything on record. He suggested I reach out to LockboxSupport@uscis.dhs.gov as typically the response should only take 15 days. Hoping things are just moving slowly due to COVID but I'm starting to get a bit nervous!

I filed some documents before and I always leave blank, whether it doesn't apply to me or there is no information. I did the same on my recent packages. Never had any troubles.

And I don't think USCIS would RFE for such reasons.

That was pretty much the question. If my i-485 gets approved do I wait for my i-130. It seems like they are working on my i-485 but they didnt touch my i-130 yet. I have filed myself so I have  no knowledge about the process

What you waiting for i-130 for when you get your green card approved, i-485 is green card approval.

I dont think you will get RFE for such. RFE usually is for birth certificate, employment letter of petitioner, 250% poverty guidelines or for something serious. Thats what i think.

My biggest concern is that i have a mouth watering job offer, i dont know how long our EAD will take for processing with the current Covid19. I wish USCIS will use the biometrics we submitted at point of entry. Patiently waiting for any good news. The USCIS Local offices should open by a month today June 4th.

I’m surprised they are telling you to reach out already. I was going to try to wait to get super stressed until it reached 30 days! I’m confused about lockbox support though - what do you say to them when you reach out?

I just listed our identifying information (name, phone number, address, date package was delivered) and told them that I spoke with a rep by phone who advised me to reach out. Will keep the thread posted if/when I hear back!

I just emailed them too! I still think it’s typical to take up to 30 days from what I read on the above thread. Just in case though. Keep me posted!

Concurrent filing is a one step process both the forms go hand in hand. A single approval would be for both the 130 and 485.
