I got both from TansUnion. 1 888 909 8872. I was on hold for 1hr 23 mins

Thanks @malajoe, I ended up calling TransUnion again today and ended up paying the $9 for the credit score and another credit report... I have a feeling the first credit report I requested never got sent out.

good luck to you on your AOS journey! We’re all in this together! 💪🏻

hahaha thanks for understanding me @Flowerfame!

Yeah, this form is really driving everyone bonkers.... just ridiculous! I’m glad to hear you were able to get yours in time!

thanks for the suggestion! I’m going to try calling Experian! Do you have their phone number? I don’t have an SSN yet, and the numbers I try to call all ask for an SSN to begin 😭

Thanks so much!!

Of course!! My husband called for me and entered his SSN and then requested my credit score for immigration purposes explaining the situation we find ourselves in (no SSN, authorized user, credit report in hand). We called 8773504336. Hope it works!!

I just saw I answered too late! But I’ll leave this response here in case it can help someone else 🤗

Hey guys! I'm gonna start to get the files ready today so I'm a newbie for AOS. First question I wanna ask is, does COVID-19 situations affecting the AOS process in the beginning aka just filing? Cuz I read some news like they not doing interviews which is you gotta be there in person.

from my understanding k1 aos use to not have interviews for everyone, then about 4 years ago everyone did, now it seems like it went back to the prior 2016 were some didn't have an interview, but ive only seen 2 people post about that so far, and i'm sure this is related to the covid-19. things might go back to normal after this passes.

Covid-19 shouldn't effect anything for filing. The only thing i could see it effecting would be, some evidence you need to submit and you're unable to obtain it due to the shut down, but i just sent all my paperwork in to file last week and received a text with the case number Sunday night. lucky we had everything before the shut down.

Hi all,

I am in the midst of putting together my AOS package (K1 Visa) here in Chicago.  Luckily I moved here and married my American fiance just in time, we married and got our marriage certificate in the first week of March. We are making good progress assembling our package, but like many people, I am having trouble with the I-944 form. I have a few questions:

  •  Like many people, I don't have a credit report/score as I've only been in the country just over a month. I do have a SS card, can i input my SS number, screenshot the error message and submit that as evidence? has that been proved to be successful? Or should I be added to my wife's credit card and go that route?
  •   I'm having trouble getting my old GCSE certificates, has anyone submitted their packages with no school certificates?
  • As someone who is born and raised in the UK, how am I supposed to prove I speak the language?

Many Thanks

Thanks for the answer, appreciate it. I don't think it's gonna be issue about filing too but I have a question about this new form I-944. I born and raised in Turkey which is having their own language and I learned English by myself. So how can I prove that I speak the language? My college degree is in Turkish and English both at the same time but it doesn't mention about anything that I got English classes in college. Do you think it's gonna help?

I submitted a credit report and a letter explaining the no score. As well as the screenshots.

for my education I submitted my degree from a london university - i wrote a statement advising that i was unable to get the degree documents validated as required.

i stated my 8 years in The UK as well as my aviation career as indication of my english capabilities - my FAA pilot licence states - English Proficient

i took a screen shot of the error message, (my spouse also doesnt have a ssn yet) we also sent a letter kec524 made. I asked what she sent and modify it for me. my application was accepted... its too early to know about rfe's

as far as English speaking. you come from a country that speaks English, i would just write a letter explaining that and sign it.   The key is dont leave anything blank, if its blank, they seem just to reject it right away.

I would write a letter explaining that and sign it. something along the lines my college doesnt provide transcripts that show english 101 ect. (assuming that is true)  I would assume the more education you show, the more it will help. they dont want you to be under the public charge rule.

my wife is from the Philippines and her transcript shows English101. 102, but almost everyone speaks it there anyways.

We just printed the page that showed the credit error and sent that in with an explanation. I did place him on as an authorized user for one of my cards, however, I think there was an error since they never sent a card like they stated. This was also way before he was assigned a SSN. 🤔

My husband is from Canada. We printed off his high school and university transcripts. We highlighted any English classes. As well as his Japanese that he took, since it asked for other languages. His degree is in English so we also sent a copy of that in. The form leaves a lot to be desired for what they are actually looking for.

So happy that I read your post. I am petitioning for my husband and I called TransUnion (on hold 1hr23mins). He doesn't have SSN but i added him to my capital one CC last Sep/Oct and he had both score and report. One was free and paid $9 for the other. Only downside, snail mail is the only form of delivery. She said it would be 5 to 7 business days. They gave me a file number.  They were able to pull up this formation using his name and our current mailing address.

I got my credit report from Equifax and my credit score from my credit union bank. Should I be ordering the credit score from on the of bureaus or the bank one should be fine? Any suggestions?

For some reason I am not able to update my last comment. I ended up creating an account on Experian and got the Credit Score(FICO 8 version) with credit report instantly for free. Also I have the credit report from Equifax(annualcreditreport.com) along with Credit Score(Vantage 3.0) from my credit union. Will end up sending all even though they ask only one of the three. Just dont want to take any chances of RFE for an official score. Hope it helps someone who might be looking to get a report/score instantly.
